I am extremely disappointed by this experience. In my two years as a loyal customer of Tropical Smoothie, I have never encountered such unacceptable conditions. I ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla with tomato salsa and was served salsa containing visible mold, an alarming violation of basic food safety standards.
Additionally, I waited nearly twenty minutes for the quesadilla alone, reflecting poor operational efficiency under the new management. To further compound the issue, my Kiwi Quencher smoothie was improperly prepared, arriving chunky and overly icy.
This decline in quality and oversight is deeply concerning, and until meaningful improvements are made, I cannot recommend this establishment.

I was so excited to try this place. I placed an order online. They did not start preparing the order until AFTER I arrived which was the time staed it would be ready for pickup. I waited an additional 20 minutes for my food. When I got ready to eat, the food was so sloppy, messy and ill-prepared. I couldn’t even eat it. I was thoroughly disgusted. All the 1 star reviews were correct! Do not recommend. The employees should take more pride in their work and presentation.

I just wanna give my props to a young lady i heard them call KK she runs the store with great profession & cleans up after any mess, although I had to wait a lil bit because he/she messed up my order. She came up front and helped me out n within 2 mins she made me one of the best smoothie I had in a long time!!! When i asked for her age she told me she was 17. Whoever the owner or manager is you are doing a great job with this young lady she has structure.

ATTENTION: Conyers Location is under new management. Complete 180 experience. Very clean, organized, and excellent customer service. I typically get a smoothie 2/wk but I stopped due to the poor service at this location. But i will start back with my routine now. It is now family owned. Give it a try.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Tropical Smoothie location in Conyers, GA. I have been a customer at this location for quite some time, and while there have been minor issues in the past, nothing compares to the decline I have seen since the change in ownership and management.
First, I was genuinely concerned by the lack of basic food safety and professionalism. The owner and what I assume is his family were not consistently in proper uniform, and I did not observe appropriate hygiene practices such as handwashing, glove use, or hair restraints while handling food while the regular employees which I always come across whenever I visit this location were. These are fundamental standards in any food service setting, and their absence raises serious concerns about customer safety especially for them to be the managers.
My order experience reflected similar carelessness. I requested a bowl specifically without granola, yet an older employee added it anyway. When I asked for the bowl to be remade, he attempted to simply scoop the granola out (no gloves or hairnet still!) rather than preparing a fresh order. Fortunately, a younger employee immediately intervened and explained that this was not acceptable because of potential allergies or contamination — the bowl needed to be discarded and remade. It was alarming to witness a teenager having to correct an adult employee, who appeared to be in a leadership position, on basic food safety protocol. His dismissive reaction toward her only made the situation more uncomfortable.
This interaction, combined with the overall lack of professionalism I observed, gives the impression that the current management lacks the training and oversight necessary to properly operate a food service business. Based on what I experienced, I worry that this location may continue to decline if improvements are not made.
As someone who has supported this business for years, it is disappointing to feel compelled to go elsewhere. I sincerely hope Tropical Smoothie corporate leadership evaluates ownership and operational standards carefully — not just based on resumes or financial considerations — but on demonstrated ability to maintain safe, respectful, and customer-focused environments.
I look forward to seeing meaningful changes, because this location has potential, but at present, it falls far below expectations.

I’ve never had a bad experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe until today. I ordered on the app and my Smoothie was supposed to be ready at 1:26. I arrived and my order wasn’t in the to go section. I asked the cashier and she stated it was not ready. I waited a while and asked the status of my order. When she checked again my order was in the freezer behind the counter THE WHOLE TIME! They need to do better! I waited more than 15 minutes for a smoothie.

They got a score of 90 but when we walked in, there was trash piled up, a dirty floor and smelled like burnt doo doo. Please do better and clean up. The place showed defeat and no pride. Smoothies were ok.

I love tropical smoothie but EVERY time I visit this location it takes an unreasonable amount of time, at least 30min, to receive my food. This happens even when it is not busy, maybe 1-2 customers in store. During my most recent visit, I placed an online order for 1 banana crunch flatbread with plant based protein added. I placed the order at 2:05 and the app said that the order will be ready at 2:11. I arrive to this location at 2:20 to find my order not only not ready, but it hasn’t even began being prepared. I then waited in store for 45minutes for 1 banana crunch flatbread, only to find out they didn’t add my protein which I paid extra for. The young lady took my flatbread from me and threw it away and said she will make another one which I waited for another 20min. I became so frustrated and impatient, I just asked for a refund. The young man at the counter processed the refund but it was not for the full amount I paid. Furthermore, I do not see the refund pending when I check my bank account online. The food is great but the wait time is diabolical. It should not take over 1 hour for 1 flatbread, and it wasn’t made correctly. Again, this is happens EVERY time I go to thos location. My last visit was the final straw, I can no longer support Tropical Smoothie in Conyers nor will I recommend them to anyone.

I recently visited this Tropical Café location in Conyers and was very disappointed with my açai bowl. It was completely runny, melted, and lacked the consistency expected from a well-prepared bowl. It was sloppy and unappetizing, making it difficult to enjoy. Given the rising prices, I expected better quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet the standard I’ve come to expect. I hope management takes this into consideration to improve the quality of their offerings.
