Our mission is to deliver the best jerk chicken around town. We blend authentic spices, fresh onions, scallions, and pepper to create our homemade jerk seasoning from scratch. I was absolutely blown away by the food, especially the stew pork and the Rasta pasta. Everything was incredibly flavorful, and you can truly tell it was made with love and the utmost care. Huge big up to Chef Omar he really did his thing in the kitchen. The quality alone convinced me that I will definitely be back, especially on the days he’s cooking. Highly recommend everyone check this restaurant out!

This restaurant is great for what it’s good for. Get great take out food. I got the oxtail and as always it hits. I haven’t tried many other items there but the oxtail is one item I know will always be great. The soup is also an item that is always going to be great especially on Fridays.

I’ve been to several Tropical Jerk locations (Uniondale, Baldwin), and I’d say this Roosevelt spot is the least crowded, which is a big plus. The parking lot does fill up quickly because of other places on the strip, so keep that in mind when you head over.
A heads-up for breakfast lovers: many Jamaican spots, including this one, stop serving breakfast pretty early, so if you’re in the mood for ackee and dumplings, make sure you get there early enough!
Speaking of which, I had the ackee and fried dumpling. The ackee was tasty but a bit watery, which knocked it down a bit for me. On the flip side, the fried dumplings were great size, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and at the ideal temp.
Pricing is standard for Jamaican spots in the area, so you won’t find anything too out of the ordinary there. One thing to note is that they don’t take over-the-phone orders, so I recommend calling ahead to check if they have what you’re craving before making the trip

Chicken is so dry you’d mistake it for poorly cooked turkey. The rice and peas were decent, I’d get crunch from hard pieces of rice here and there.

Hands down this is my favorite Jamaican restaurant in Nassau County! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and always welcoming. I had to leave a review because yesterday in particular I had the most amazing Mac n’ Cheese and for the first time I had their whiting and it was incredible! Big up to Tropical Jerk for always delivering on impeccable flavor and good vibes!
Oh, and let me not forget my server, Eva! He truly represents the brand and embodies what great customer service should feel like, attentive, personable, and full of positive energy. It’s one thing to enjoy great food, but when the experience is matched with warmth and professionalism, that’s what keeps you coming back. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Y’all getting worse. Its not been 30 mins since I bought this food. The rice is old like it was reheated way too many times. Packed my box with only chicken breast and its hard. Only the vegetables ok. Very unbelievable. The last time the food wasn’t good. Today it’s worse. You’ve lost a customer.

Finally someone picks up ask what’s on the menu for today the lady leaves me on hold and talk to someone else and told them you deal with that person on the phone there and these are the reasons why I would Jamaican restaurants fail because of employees that don’t give a damn about the person business

My preferred go-to restaurant in this chain. I really enjoy their jerk chicken as it is moist tender and flavorful when done right. Favorite is barbie fry. Other items are good as well. Like the selection of breads and bubs. No seats, even a few while you wait would be good. The wait can be long at peak times as staffing is limited at times. Still recommend. Reasonable price. I’ve ordered for delivering as well.
