Ordered jerk cat with mash and Mac. Only thing good is the sweet jerk sauce. Mac straight out of the Kraft box soggy no flavor. Mashed potatoes hit one with a can no salt no butter dry even with the gravy. Cat fish cooked well. No jerk flavor even tho it looks like it. Everything bland 0/100000

I’m going to give this place three stars overall. I ordered from Uber Eats food was prepared and delivered very quickly so thumbs up for that. However, I ordered the oxtails which were tender but under season, and the rice and beans was dry no flavor with probably about 12 beans in it. The greens were just okay, a little spicy for my liking. The sweet potatoes were my favorites, they were just right. I don’t think I would ever voluntarily order from this place again. This did not taste like any type of jerk restaurant I’ve ordered from before. It tasted more like flavorless soul food. Hopefully, the owners will care enough to listen to reviews and work on getting better.

I’ve been a customer since 2008 and over the course of years the prices have increased which is to be expected however the quantity of food has decreased. The price for the sauce has increased , bread no longer comes with dinners, tacos are skimpy and they always run out of items like fish or string beans. The food is delicious most of the time but the portions are not worth the price increase. The service is always okay and the atmosphere is basic as I always order take out. My issue is the cut backs on the portions and price increases.

Great food however, the whole dark jerk that I purchased was a bit undercooked, flavor and sauce was on point. The entire meal was pinkish inside when I got home and settled down. I put it in the oven for a few. “Problem solved”. . Jerk is my favorite. I cook lots of it. To the cook, great job on flavor and seasoning however; let your food cook a bit longer. Thank you so much. I will return for more.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! I ran into an issue with another restaurant for a work function and called this one to see if they could accommodate me on short notice. They absolutely did!!! I want to send a big thank you to them. The service was superb and everyone loved the food.

Food was great but the service was not there at all. I ordered a half chicken white and it SAID it comes w Mac and cheese and greens, I got it and it only had chicken so I called and they basically responded like ‘what do you want me to do about it’ !! And the least they could have done was apologize and lmk nothing can be done but they responded in an oh well type of tone so if you get the 1/2 chicken white online do expect it to come w anything

Tried the place on 79th and St. Lawrence. The food is so much different. I’ve been eating with this lady for at Lease 25 years her food has always been excellent. I don’t know what it is about this one in Calumet city but I agree with you guys with the service and food. I just wait till I go in the city and go to 79th and Saint Lawrence.

Customer service sucks when you ask for explanation of the order they act like you bothered them. Hangs up the phone before you complete talking called back for a question about my order and they put me on hold RIGHT AFTER I CALLED.
