The food took ~1 hour to arrive (island time I guess) but it was delicious, fresh and well-cooked. The portions were also enough! The shrimp rice was yumm, would recommend. The french fries were crisp and nice. We also ordered the whole fried snapper and it was good too!
The staff is very kind and nice. The ambience was good. Would recommend this place, but be prepared to wait a bit.

Tropical Gourmet in Rincón, Puerto Rico is a true gem for local food and drinks. Everything we tried was delicious, full of flavor, and freshly prepared. The service feels just like home—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Whether you’re dining in or taking your meal to go, it’s a wonderful experience. True to my style, I didn’t take any pictures—just enjoyed the flavors and the moment. A place I’ll gladly return to whenever I’m in Rincón!

Tropical Gourmet is one of my favorite spots to eat whenever I’m in Rincón. The arroz con pollo is absolutely perfect; flavorful, comforting, and cooked just right. I also highly recommend the arroz con jueyes, a rich, creole-style rice dish that’s full of flavor.
If you love garlic, you have to try their mofongo. It’s super garlicky in the best way possible, delicious and bold. And don’t leave without ordering empanadillas. You can’t go wrong with any of them, but my personal favorite is the meat and cheese. Crispy outside, savory inside, exactly what you want.
Tropical Gourmet always hits the spot. Local, authentic, and full of flavor. A must-visit when in town. Highly recommend!

Awful! We waited 1.5 hrs for our food. Not once did any of the staff asked if we needed anything, unless we went to the bar to ask for just water. The food was mediocre to say the least (don’t eat the stake, its like eating cardboard/hard plastic). And they weren’t even busy on a Thurs evening at 8pm! Just a HORRIBLE experience!!!

It’s not the prettiest or comfiest roadside restaurant, but yet, I see myself coming back once a year for their food. The atmosphere, although not perfect, is one that is authentic and will not leave you complaining other than maybe some mosquitos since it’s all basically outdoor. The food is really flavorful and their menu has excellent variety. The food at this place is not to be underestimated!

Solid food, lots of locals eat here. Mofongo with steak n creole sauce, shrimp with butter, hamburger. Took awhile for food but was good. Would like to try more food options there but ran out of time. Would recommend trying this place.

The house sangria was the right amount of sweet, the pina colada was yummy with good coconut flavor and well blended, and the beef and skirt steak empanadas were small but tasty.

Had to wait 2 hours for our food. Not really practical. Definitely don’t come hungry.
