I was craving some some Jollof Rice and Suya yesterday so luckily I found this place on Google. It was “The Best” Jollof Rice, Beef Suya, and Spicy Pork Ribs I’ve had at any restaurant and generous portions and the Pepper Sauce was excellent. The customer service was good I was in and out in no time. I would definitely recommend to others. FYI It is located inside the gas station so it’s nowhere to dine but the food is A1.

5-Star Review: A Taste of the Tropics Right in the City!

Tropical Finger Licking Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the irresistible aroma of authentic Caribbean and African cuisine. The ambiance is vibrant and inviting, with island-inspired decor that makes you feel like you’ve taken a quick trip to the tropics.

Now, let’s talk about the food — incredible! Every dish is full of rich, bold flavors that clearly come from fresh ingredients and a lot more. Their jollof rice, rice and beans, pork meat and soya were golden and sweet . Don’t skip the house-made sauces — they add a delicious kick!

Service was attentive and friendly, with staff who were happy to offer recommendations and check in to make sure everything was just right. You can tell they take pride in what they do.

Whether you’re craving a flavorful escape or just want a satisfying, home-cooked meal, Tropical Finger Licking Restaurant is the place to go. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be back!

Tropical Finger Licking is a true gem! I’ve had the privilege of tasting nearly everything on their menu, and each dish is a delicious tribute to both tradition and innovation. From ethnic favorites like eru and njamanjama to contemporary comfort foods like pizza and chicken wings, every bite is perfectly curated to satisfy a wide range of cravings.

The flavors are bold, the portions generous, and the quality consistent. Whether you’re in the mood for a nostalgic taste of home or something modern and indulgent, this spot never disappoints. Highly recommended for anyone who loves food that’s made with heart and soul!

Appropriately named takeout restaurant! The well seasoned ox tails had us licking our fingers. I wanted to try the goat surya but got there too late (around 3pm) and it was already sold out for the day. Snooze I lose. The jollof rice was flavorful. We also had a couple of the sandwiches, both chicken and beef. Both very good. It’s inside a Valero gas station, there’s a bench outside to sit on. There’s no doubt this place is better suited for take-out, but it’s definitely worth a stop. We’ll be back 🙂

Once you walk in, you are welcomed by the friendly staff. This alone says you are in the right place. Then the food is really good. Very tasteful and flavorful. Their suya is very tender and is a burst of flavors when you get a taste. Just like the name, their food is finger licking good. The service here is really good and I can’t wait to return. I will highly recommend Tropical Finger Licking restaurant.
