Pennsville has a nice restaurant selection but I’ve felt it’s always lacked a healthier option. That changed when Tropic Bowls opened their doors for business.
I finally got around to trying this place after multiple suggestions from people. I had a really good impression from the minute I walked in. Their interior was nice, clean and spacious. It would be very nice on a hot summer day to just come in and chill out.
Their menu has plenty of options from açaí bowls, coffee, smoothies and more. I would say everything is priced a little high, but in comparison to the portion you get I think it’s a fair deal all around. Not to mention it always feels nice supporting a local business over chains.
I got the Popeyes smoothie and I did get to try the pina colada. Both were really good, but I have to say the Popeye was by far the best smoothie I have ever had. I really can’t wait to try out the rest of their menu, but it’s going to be hard to pick something over the Popeye next time I stop by.
The staff were great and just really nice. You can feel the positive energy and the girl who took our order was very patient and nice. Can’t wait to come again.

Absolutely love this place! The açaí bowls are always fresh, delicious, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff is also super friendly and helpful—they always greet you with a smile and make sure you get exactly what you want.

I grew up in pennsville and was in town today with my husband. We stopped in and had the BEST smoothie bowls!!! It was almost closing time and Donna could not have been more friendly and was happy to serve us. We will be back every time we are in town!! Great bowl, great service, and a great atmosphere.

My wife and I stopped in today for a afternoon fall smoothie.
We chose the pumpkin ginger snap smoothie and the apple crisp smoothie with a Carmel swirl. Both so fitting for a beautiful fall afternoon. We enjoyed our short wait sitting at the beautifully decorated bar top and seats while our smoothies were freshly made in the back from scratch.
Staff was very friendly with enjoyable small talk. The smoothies were both so delicious. So glad we stopped in. Great to have such a wonderful small friendly business life this in our community.

I got the South Broadway bowl (acai base, strawberries, blueberries, granola with a honey drizzle. I also asked them to add bananas! It blew me away! Especially the granola concoction on the bottom (as well as the top). Every bite was refreshingly delicious and satisfying in every way – taste and texture. As I got closer and closer to finishing the bowl, I got sadder and sadder because I didn’t want it to end. I definitely stretched it out as long as I could so I could savor the moment. I’ve had acai bowls in Hawaii and this easily topped them as my favorite! I will definitely need more of this in my life!

I tried Tropic Bowls for the first time today, and I got the Tropic Thunder bowl. It is SO GOOD. Everything tastes super fresh, and the bowl itself is presented really aesthetically. The shop has a really cute beach vibe, and the staff are friendly. I’ll definitely be returning! It’s nice to have a place nearby to grab a healthy snack or meal after a workout or on a hot day!
