We enjoyed a night out on New Year’s Eve at the trophy lodge! Overall it was a good meal. Waitress was good, atmosphere was fun, and the big stone fireplace in the room made the atmosphere feel cozy. With some culinary and recipe research and adding a few key ingredients,the food could be much better! For instance, add a pure maple syrup glaze to the salmon and use local wild rice from the folks from the fond du lac Reservation. Little changes could bring much better tasting food.

Was excited to try this restaurant for the first time. Made reservations and requested near window. When we arrived was told sit anywhere so why make reservations. My wife received her salad about 20 minutes after ordering and the manager brought her entree less than a minute later. I ordered breaded shrimp and it was ice cold inside. Had to find waitress to tell her. She said had same issue night before as it was the daily special. When I got it back is was charbroiled burnt. Not appetizing at all!! Ended up finishing off my granddaughter’s Mac and cheese as that was the best thing I ate. Never was asked if second shrimp was cooked properly. First and last time we will be there!!!

Had a GREAT experience. As new visitors, our waitress let us shift tables for a better outside view. Although she was alone that night, she rocked the service. Food was exceptional. Some of the best Prime Rib and Steak Medalions we’ve ever had. Flavorful and so tender and cooked to perfection. Not a cheap steakhouse, -median priced, but you do get what you pay for.

This is a great date place. The food is very good and not too expensive. The view is awesome. Just make sure your date is OK with the stuffed animal heads. I really like the place and you can come by boat or car. Staff is warm and friendly. This place deserves the 5 stars
