First time, purposefully didn’t read any reviews as I wanted to come in with zero expectations. Service was good, very friendly and he suggested menu parings. Bruschetta was delicious, vibrant and fresh. Garlic knots were well seasoned but rather hard. Main course was manicotti and my wife had the tilapia, both dishes were hot and fresh. They were in both our opinions under seasoned, it’s rare that I reach for salt and pepper, especially on a dish like manicotti. My wife did love the bright lemony sauce, and we both agreed that their cannoli was GREAT. Overall a good experience just wish for a little more punch in the flavors!

Excellent food, wonderful service and great atmosphere ! John has been amazing every time we have visited. A definite must visit ! Our top choices so far have been the fried ravioli, lasagna, pizzas and veal marsala.

So the restaurant has been open several weeks now and I have purposefully not gone to allow to work out any brand new kinks. I also recognize that it can take a few months for a restaurant to create a groove and fix the petty things.
When I entered the restaurant, there was a lady standing there and a couple entered right before me. The single lady told them to go ahead as she was waiting for someone. There was not truly a hostess stand or sign to wait yo be seated so I think the couple was perplexed as to what to do. Over comes a young man that I first thought maybe was a bus person. He then looked confused as to where to seat the couple even though there were several empty tables. Then it was might turn and as all restaurants do when I say for one, they try to direct me to sit at the bar. I kindly said no thank you, I prefer a table so away we went. The restaurant was not overly busy, there were about three people at the bar, a large table of eight and a couple other tables with patrons. I finally was greeted by a very kind gentleman and by then I knew I wanted a glass of Pinot Grigio and a glass of water with lemon. After several minutes of adequate timing, he brings me the wine but no water. I kindly remind him of the water and he saydbgecwill be right back and brings me the water. Again, I can sense “new server”. It was time to order so being a sever many times before and restaurant management, I told him I would like toasted ravioli and specifically indicated to him that I wanted to make sure they come out before my dinner as they are listed as an appetizer and were ordered as such. I then ordered my dinner of chicken piccata. That dish is my rating for a good Italian restaurant. All seemed well and off he went. After a few minutes, he brings me the salad and garlic knots. I remind him about the raviolis and he assured me they were coming. I sat my salad to the side as I wanted to enjoy the appetizer first. In the meantime, this place is over staffed for sure. There are two dudes that were not needed if the servers were taught how to properly pre-bus a table and then boom new placemats and rolled silverware and itscresdy for the next guest. One of these gentlemen came over to take my salad and I said no, I am waiting for my appetizer. After several minutes, here comes my server with my dinner. I said, so still no raviolis? And also reminded him that was why I indicated I wanted them before my meal so I asked him to remove them from my bill as I no longer wanted them. I continued on eating my salad which I must say was delicious and their homemade Italian Dressing was one if the best I have had to be honest. The garlic knots, though flavorful were quite overcooked and sort of on the crunchy side as you can tell in the picture. The Chicken Piccata looked inviting although this was the first time I have ever had plain chicken breast with no lightly golden crust to soak up the sauce. None the less, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce with the mushrooms and capers was quite tasty and had nice lemony flavor. After the meal was complete and waiting for the check, he finally brings me a piece of cheesecake on the house for the error with the raviolis. This was a very nice gesture and very much appreciated. He continued to apologize and I told him, it’s all good as long as we learn from the mistakes. He did indicate it was his third day. I truly hope, the management is providing adequate training to their servers to reflect the kind of service they want their guests to receive. I paid the bill and left a nice tip for the server as I don’t feel it is right to penalize a server at a new restaurant. The overall experience outside of the ravioli mishap was a four out of five stars. With the mishap, three out if four. I will definitely be back and hope to become a regular. Thanks for reading and go give them a try! Hopefully the management is reading the reviews and taking all comments to heart. They are located across from Otterbein in the new Union Village Center. Parking is in the rear of the building. Ciao!

Tronis Italian Bistro is a hidden gem that delivers an authentic taste of Italy right in the heart of the neighborhood. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels both cozy and elegant. The staff are attentive, friendly, and truly make you feel like family. The food is outstanding—classic Italian comfort dishes prepared with care and high-quality ingredients. The dishes we had were. outstanding.Definitely coming back again ..

New place so it is clean. The atmosphere was lacking. It is just doesn’t feel “homy”. For example, as soon as you walk in, you are confronted with a partition.
Service was ok. Staff was nice , just slow. For example, we received our appetizer before anything to drink even though we ordered a drink as soon as we sat.
The garlic knots seemed like they were 2 days old. Stale, hard and tasteless. Calamari was so chewy we couldn’t eat it.
The entrees were also surprisingly completely flavorless.

The building and atmosphere were absolutely beautiful and wonderful. The positives end there. The service was lackluster at best, she was slow (they were not busy), she had no knowledge of their offerings, despite being a “transplant” from another location, didn’t even know a side salad was an offering.
The food … the food left MUCH to be desired like cheese and flavor. I never would have expected a kids cheese pizza to have more surface area of sauce than cheese. The only pizza I feel would have been acceptable with that quantity/type of cheese layout would be the Napoletana. The garlic bread had pretty much no garlic and barely any cheese, as well. The fettuccini Alfredo tasted like sauce from a jar, and not Rao’s. There was also what appeared to be a beard hair in the bowl after it was finished. For $82, we were still eating every bite even though none of it was enjoyable. We expected a similar caliber of food to the location on Wilmington Pike. I’ve had better pizza from a lunchable or speedway.

Great chicken piccata, chicken Marsala and a shrimp and chicken with cream sauce dish (can’t remember the name). Small comfortable spot. Good wine list. Lovely place. Would recommend the food!!! Give it a try. There were families with kids eating pizza as well as couples.

My wife and I went for Valentines Day and arrived arrived 8pm. We were seated and shortly there after we met Jon our waiter.. He was very nice and polite. He offered us the special for Valentines Day (even though we were to have reservations to receive that special.) I had the Italian Trio and my wife had the shrimp scampi both were great. The food was hot, drinks (wine) were flowing and the tiramisu was to die for. Our Dinner and our waiter were as good as we could hoped for. 5☆

First time here and we love it. Will definitely be back. The menu isn’t huge, but offers a good mix and everything we tried (Tortellini Ala Vodka Sauce, Spaghetti w/ Meat Sauce, Caesar Salad, House Salad, Lemoncello Cake) was excellent. The people next to us had pizza and it smelled awesome.

The staff was super friendly, informative, and attentive too. Our server was Rachel and she was perfect.

Looking forward to going back. Great to have good non-chain Italian in our small town.
