10/10 would recommend. Always looking for some good al pastor and Tromperia El Zac does not disappoint! Vertical spit with pineapple. 4 amazing hot sauces (loved the smokey one) chips & guacamole were great. Everyone working tonight was wonderful the margaritas were very yummy and not all sweet/sugary. I ordered the Birria Pizza for pickup, and was very happy with what I received. The food was amazing. The proportions, the consume, the sauces, were all great. I will definitely be coming back to try the other food they have on their menu. But the Birria Pizza is amazing. The meat tasted amazing, combined with the cheese and onions and all the other lovely ingredients. They had it ready very fast and picking up my order was no hassle at all.

The vegetarian tacos had so much flavor, I got a zucchini taco, a poblano & corn taco, and a mushroom taco. All were good, the zucchini might be my favorite. There was a lot of cheese melted on them underneath the filling, that’s not my thing I’d ask for no cheese next time.

After my second trip here in ready to crown this place as a new favorite. The authentic spit-roasted Al Pastor is great, it might be the best in the Twin Cities. I had the Alambre the first time and La Burritas today, both were amazing. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite places in Saint Paul for a casual meal. The pork for al pastor is roasted on a vertical rotisserie (like gyro meat) so it’s tender, juicy and crispy all at the same time. They have classic beverages in glass bottles as well as jamaica and horchata. The guacamole, tamales, and asada are all great. The green enchilada sauce is more like a medium heat. The staff is always very nice. I like the dining room with historic pictures, too. It’s counter service. There’s a big fenced parking lot behind the building.

The workers there were super polite very professional easy to talk to and friendly. They all had smiles on their faces. They were right there to greet us and take our order. The food was amazing. Anybody that’s thinking about going here it’s worth getting through all the construction to eat there believe me. If you haven’t thought about eating here yet; think about it now. The food has awesome layers of flavor; just the right bite. The tamales were moist and flavorful. Great place to eat.

I love the tacos de al pastor! Best ones I’ve ever had in MN!! Very clean, very nice staff and we got our food quick too. Food was absolutely delicious with the guacamole and green salsa. Their agua de jamaica was super tasty too! Will definitely come again soon
