Absolutely love their shrimp. The people are friendly too. The atmosphere is poor and old. It’s only take out.
I food is worth the visit, the people are inviting, if you nevermind the atmosphere, you’ll return for sure.
If you have a hankering for some shrimp, they are the place to go for sure. There’s other seafood as well. Give them a try.

Trohas been a Birthday tradition for me since I was little girl. My father would always go get home run inn pizza and swing by Trohas for shrimp and catfish for me. The shrimp and catfish were delicious as always. However the fries were absolutely horrible. Please go back to the original fries. The fries you use now take away the quality of your seafood. Im truly disappointed.

Got the half-pound shrimps with codfish, and both blew me away, ngl. Shrimps aren’t small, decent size and they are crunchy and come out hot. 9.2. Definitely, some of the better shrimp spots in the city. The cod fish is another winner 8.7. The fish batter ion know was really good to me and crunchy…they like huge fish nuggets. Got it with their tartar sauce and cocktail sauce and they didn’t miss…overall 9.0.

I grew up with this place and haven’t been there in a while. Just went back the other day and it’s still the same. Taste great, juicy pieces. You can’t go wrong and shouldn’t go anywhere else but here.

Never again. I literally don’t even know where to begin…visited on a Friday 5pm-wrote this review same day 6pm. Spent $60, tenders were tiny-one was all breading. Shrimp were not jumbo. Fish chips ok-7 for $12. Coleslaw wasn’t good. And everything was just bland and teeth breaking fried too hard. I had to debread a tender just for my kid to eat one. They had customers so idk what could’ve happened with ALL my food but I won’t ever be back to figure it out.

Used to go here when I was younger for the fries. They changed them and serve a lot less than before. Also they overcharge for everything and tastes pretty bland now. Can’t believe I ordered this “full order” of shrimp for almost $20. Firehouse Grill is better on Roosevelt, they got bigger pieces for less.

Food was excellent. Although I wouldn’t call the jumbo shrimp (jumbo). The food was fresh. Staff was friendly. I really enjoyed the food(taste, texture, quality). If you live far. Please find a parking spot and enjoy your food fresh!!

I’m sure most will disagree with me but I just don’t like this new breading they been having for the shrimp. Been coming here since I was a kid, still run by the same family and they’re all great but first they switched the fries from the shoe string to the basic ones and I was like meh, no biggie but then a few years ago they changed from that tempura like breading they use to have to this sandy basic breading you find everywhere else and it’s just very disappointing. I will say the catfish is still very good and affordable enough you can feed your family with. Tartar & cocktail sauce is still great and their hush puppies taste just like they did 40yrs ago!

I had food delivered from here. It was well packaged, and I ordered catfish that was Amazing! It was perfectly cooked, moist, and white all the way through. The breading was perfect on it, and on all their food:) not thick at all.
The crabcake, hushpuppies, and clamstrips were very good as well.
I did get the ocean perch it was good, but the catfish was Great!
I didn’t have anything else but,
