I will say, when I dined for dinner there was a dish that I didn’t like at all, but it may have been because of my specific tastes and preferences. I say that to encourage you to know your tastes, and to know what you’re ordering!
All of the staff is friendly and helpful. Especially Gregory!
Here was our feedback: handrail on stairs (for those that need assistance) was blocked; greasy fingerprints on our menus; wine we wanted (limited menu) was out – we were not told in advance; appetizer (in skillet) was cold; short rib was cool – not warm; one of the items we ordered, the waiter forgot and when clearing the table, a dish of garlic oil was dropped and spilled all over one of our coats.
It was one thing after the other. But I so appreciate the manager’s quick resolution, kind email and overall handling of a disappointing night.
I ordered the Cubano sliders — bigger than your average sliders and full of flavor. The roasted Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and delicious. My friend had the shrimp and grits and said they were outstanding.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and outstanding service — we’ll definitely be back!
We started with the bread board. It was a lot for two people but the options were delicious. Super fluffy focaccia , a biscuit, and a scone. It would have been fun to have a wider variety of spreads for them.
The meatballs were dry, needed sauce and the pineapple chunks were off and large.
The chimichurri steak was full of flavor. It was also cooked perfectly. The carrots underneath weren’t the best.
The star of the show was the cheesecake, which I don’t usually like, but this one was very tasty with a crispy pistachio crust and a citrusy sauce.
Definitely worth a visit for some chill drinks and snacks.
If I could give zero stars I would.
I should’ve known it was going to be a bad experience with the dead cricket I found on my chair when I was seated then ordered the coffee short rib. Dry & rubbery. Horrible. Waitress never came back to check on me until I asked for her then she proceeded to give me an attitude until I said, you could try it, but should be able tell by the burnt parts & how dry it looks. I’m giving them 1 star for comping my meal, but I honestly would’ve refused to pay for it anyways.
Yikes & Yuck

This time, we visited on December 20th for a birthday dinner with a group of 14, and unfortunately the experience fell apart in several ways. The reservation had been moved around multiple times, and when we arrived our group was split into two tables far apart. One table of six was awkwardly placed against a wall with a jutting corner that literally split the table, leaving one person seated directly in front of the thermostat and unable to comfortably talk with anyone. We also could not really interact with the rest of our party at the other table. While frustrating, this alone might have been excusable.
As a consolation for the seating situation, a cheese and meat board was brought out. Unfortunately, the cheese was clearly freezer burned, which several of us noticed right away. We chose to brush it off and move forward. My partner and I then shared the $32 cavatappi pasta and the grilled octopus. The pasta arrived well before most of the table’s food and while the pesto itself was extremely lemony, the bigger issue was execution. The pasta was so overcooked it was falling apart, while the vegetables were large chunks and severely undercooked. The carrots were basically raw. The portion was also very small for the price, which made the quality issues more frustrating.
The grilled octopus was the most disappointing dish of the night. It came on a bed of kimchi vegetables, which were actually very good, but the octopus itself consisted of only four very small pieces. When we asked if that was normal, our server told us it is their number one complaint and that the dish uses only one tentacle. The plate was overwhelmingly vegetables, easily 95 percent, yet it is listed simply as grilled octopus on the menu, which felt misleading at that price point. On top of that, within the vegetables I found a whole green onion with the stems still attached and a large unpeeled cube of ginger that seemed completely out of place and was not repeated anywhere else in the dish. It felt careless.
After mentioning this, the server said they would see if it could be taken off the bill, but management only approved a 50 percent discount. I appreciated the gesture, but the discount was not really the issue. The issue was quality control, consistency, and execution, especially for a restaurant operating at this price level. What makes this experience especially frustrating is that others in our group enjoyed their food, and I know Triune is capable of doing better. Between the reservation issues, the poor consolation offering, and multiple food execution problems, this visit did not reflect the restaurant I previously loved and recommended. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because I want to be able to confidently recommend this place again, but after this experience, I cannot.
