Trip‘s diner was awesome! It was so super busy, but I got a seat at the counter very quickly. I was greeted with warm greetings, and my order was taken swiftly. The food came out incredibly quickly for how busy this place was. The waitresses were making jokes with me and everyone was smiling. It was a lovely experience. The food was delicious. I’ll definitely be going back.

I have been watching this diner on social media and finally had time to take my grandson and daughter with me to have breakfast! The parking lot is small but there is plenty of street parking-you may to just walk a little bit (allows more calories at breakfast)! We didn’t have a wait to be seated outside and it was a beautiful morning! Our server Rebecca was amazing-she had a great personality and took good care of us! My daughter ordered an omelette with fruit and toast and it was such a generous portion she shared it with my 2 year old grandson! I had the burrito buster and it was huge but delicious! The prices aren’t bad at all and the menu is huge! It’s definitely worth a repeat visit!

They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with mimosas, coffee, wine, juices and fresh-made desserts. I had the eggs Benedict with loaded potatoes, and my friend had the biscuits and gravy, both were delicious. Prices are inexpensive for the quality. Service is fast and friendly. Expect a wait on weekends and limited parking.

I used to live near Trip’s before moving back to the Northeast six years ago. I had to go back when I returned to town for a couple days. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits with a Fried Egg on top. I loved every bite. The service was incredible. Staff stopped by to top our waters and coffees off like clockwork. What a great oiled machine they have going. It was the perfect spot to meet up with some old friends. I can’t wait to go back the next time I am in town.

Tables and serving utensils were dirty. Food was disgusting. Bacon tasted like it was made 2 or more days ago and reheated. Chicken tasted sour. None of the four people at my table enjoy their food. Told the waiter my food was wrong he said ok, and walked away. Coffee was finished no offer for more, sweat tea was finished no offer to refill glass. Bad experience and horrible food.

Sausage Biscuit Gravy platter is my go to breakfast (and hangover helper! ). Looks like this…but I got mine with the thick cut bacon instead of the extra sausage patties. Home fries are the best & scrambled eggs are always nice & fluffy. Weekends are busy & parking is limited. Uber if you arent a fan of parking spot circling. Mid week is no problem. Great hidden gem of St. Pete for that old school diner feel.

Trip’s Diner in St. Petersburg has that good old-fashioned feel and serves up comfort food just like you remember. The hamburger steak, and mashed potatoes really hit the spot — hearty, flavorful, and cooked just right. Great food, friendly service, and that timeless diner vibe make this a must-visit!

Our very first visit to Trips was as a result of a friend highly recommending this place for breakfast. I am happy to share that we were extremely satisfied with the service, food, and atmosphere . Our waiter, Kevin, was very friendly and attentive! He made for a great experience. And the food was beyond amazing! We ordered shrimp and grits, and Wow! It was seasoned perfectly and completely exceeded my expectations. All of that for a small price…our ticket was roughly $20 per person…which I felt was worth. So many friendly faces and people…I can’t wait to return and possibly become a regular at this place due to the great food and service.

Food is fantastic, Id give it 5 stars but the parking situation sucks. I was hungover as hell and this hit the spot.
