We had lunch at Triple Pepper today. Overall, the food was decent. The osmanthus sweet & sour ribs were not what we expected — the meat quality was average, and they were large ribs instead of small ribs. The sweet and sour flavor and osmanthus aroma were both quite mild.

Other dishes we ordered were better: the shrimp fried rice, fish-flavored eggplant, and fish with tofu were all good. We also tried the minced pork with pickled long beans. The pickled beans were not very sour, but at least they weren’t overly salty, so still acceptable.

Service-wise, our server Heidi was great — very friendly, attentive, and quick to bring utensils or napkins whenever we asked. There was another Asian female server who was much slower when we requested things, but Heidi stepped in and handled most of our needs promptly.

Our trip to Tripple Pepper was nice. The parking lot looked full however there was plenty of seating in the restaurant. My guess is there were more people at a neighboring restaurant.

Tripple Pepper was a nice quiet spot for the night but left a lot to be desired. The menus we were given were definitely different with the two we were handed. One menu had an additional item listed with a label (crazy chicken is what I believe the added dish was.)

We were given some yummy edamame when were seated. I was impressed by the sauce and flavor of these which is the reason the star count is high. These were yummm!!!

I liked that they had the dumplings in a mixed order so that were able to try all of those offerings. Our favorite dumplings were the beef and the vegetable dumplings. The chicken was not good to us at all. The flavor of the chicken dumpling just did not taste as well as the other ones. The beef and vegetable dumplings are another reason for the high star count.

We ordered the Triple Pepper Beef and it was OVER TAKEN by PEPPERCORNS. We could no longer taste our food at that point. If you have ever had peppercorns, you know what I mean.

Next the Spicy Crispy Chicken is most definitely crispy. No complaint on that. But this dish also had those peppercorns and after trying the beef we were not able to taste the flavor of it.

This place LOVES PEPPERCORNS!!!! If you zoom in on the pictures you’d most definitely see them.

Our waitress is another reason for the high star count. She was great! Answered any questions we had and made sure to check on us throughout the night.

For the price we paid for this meal, we most definitely could have had better food. And maybe the food is good, minus the mountain of peppercorns. Which I love peppercorns, this was just too many for one sitting.

The atmosphere and the restaurant is very nice. The sweet and sour fish is my favorite dish although the general tso chicken was a little underwhelming. They were able to swap my chicken for another fish dish which was great!

The food is absolutely amazing, super fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The restaurant is very clean, and the service is excellent. I felt so comfortable and happy dining here. I’ve been searching for a place like this for a long time, and this restaurant truly exceeded my expectations.

Highly recommended menu: Cauliflower Hot Pot — it’s honestly the best dish here and a must-try!

Chicken egg rolls,
Quality 10.
Flavor 10.

General Chicken,
Quality 6.
Flavor 0.
It is a shame the Flavor is the same as my steam rice .
Was hoping for better but was let down.
Took two bites and that’s it.
Maybe they have better options,
Maybe they just forgot to add Flavor to mine.
What i do know is that this place is not that great.
As someone who has 90% tried every Chineses place in Houston and the greater area.
This is a place I will rate a 3/10.
My waitress was nice and kind.
I left them a $10
5 for each.
I oh so didn’t like thoes vegetables to much.
Felt old and extremely chewy.

Just because it looks nice, does not always mean they taste better

Upscale Asian restaurant in College Park that has classic Szechuan dishes as well as other fusion bites. The Szechuan flavor was very strong and I really liked the cream cheese wonton appetizers. They also treated us with some edamame as we were first time visitors. The prices are on the higher side for a Chinese restaurant, so if you are looking for a family style restaurant on the pricier side it makes this a good spot. Lots of seating available and staff were very courteous and attentive.

Delicious food and fast friendly service. We had General Tso’s Chicken. Grace, our waitress, was attentive and friendly. I also enjoyed viewing the art painted on the walls while we ate. Great place for dinner before going next door to Shanks for putt putt.

Just enjoyed our first trip here and OH MY Goodnessss! Not only did they go above and beyond to modify something specific the food came out fast and was hands down the best Chinese food we have had in so long. Plating was beautiful. food was delicious fresh and favorable and our server Mary Jane was excellent and attentive and she and Frank (manager) took the time and effort to answer all of our questions. We 10/10 highly recommend!!!!!

Loved this restaurant. It is lovely inside but the people made it even better. Our waitress was so kind to work with the kitchen to make sure a gluten free meal was possible. She went above and beyond. The sesame chicken. Made gluten free was so good and the triple dry chili chicken was tasty. Must get the lychee martini and the hot sake. Can’t wait to go back!

Ordered four different foods and was disappointed with none of them. Everything was really good. The service was excellent and the interior has nice ambience. Our only issue was that two of the dishes’ portions were a bit small for the price. The fried pork intestine dish we ordered was mostly made of red chilis, but it tasted good.
