Portion size was great. Seasoned fries, baked beans and jalapeno cornbread (lots of chunks or jalapeno) were very good. The Mac n cheese Pulled pork sandwich was huge and filled with a generous serving of pulled pork. The meat was in my opinion the correct texture not over softened but also not tough or chewy. I probably would’ve like more flavor in the pulled pork. But with the sauces and the cheese it was fine. The deep fried ribs also had a very good texture but needed more flavor but with a BBQ sauce added was good. Maybe that’s the goal of the place is good textured meat and they want people to add sauce. I did try some of my friends smoked turkey from his sandwich and it had quite a bit of flavor. And they serve beer! I wasn’t able to get one today, but nice option to have.

We placed an order to go via the website, it was very easy to navigate and figure out, it was nice because I could order what i wanted, how i wanted it and do no contact payment. The website said my pick-up time was 6:15 and it was done right at that time. The restaurant was very clean and all the staff were wearing masks. The parking was very convenient and plentiful. The restroom was clean and convenient to get to. There is an area that you can get little cups with lids of bbq sauce of your choice to take with you, plastic cutlery, napkins, salt, pepper and sugar.
The food was all very good, fresh and packaged nicely so it traveled well. All the food was very flavorful, just the right amount of smokiness and the things that were supposed to be spicy were perfectly spiced. The sides were the right size for the meal type and went well with the meals. There was a little cup of something and a cracker in with the chicken and sausage combo I never could quite figure out, but i will just clarify that on my next trip.
I will say the signage was lacking on the outside of the building making it a little difficult to find, but when I asked the employee working there about it she said it was coming and should be up soon.

This is our 2nd visit. Once in rock falls and now in dixon…WOW!! Dixon place looks AMAZING!! I had the brisket sandwich, And my wife had the philly cheesesteak. Both sandwiches were piled high with meat!! DELICIOUS!! They definitely SMOKED the competition in town!!

I used to love the Rockfalls’ location wings I would regularly order them. I’ve gone multiple times to the Dixon location and have been disappointed every time. Last time, they didn’t coat the wings, just drizzled sauce, so I specifically asked them to make sure they’re coated. The waitress came out with wings without sauce on them and stated we don’t toss the wings anymore, so she brought us boxes so we could toss them ourselves. The wings themselves don’t taste the same, and the sauce must not be the same either as I’ve ordered honey bbq each time and definitely didn’t get honey bbq either time.

Wow! Delicious barbecue! Brisket has a nice crunchy sweet and chewy outside and the super tender inside. We also had the barbecue pork and the chicken and it was all delicious. The jalapeno cornbread was a wonderful surprise! So good! Loved the beans too!

Ordered everything under the roof and the ribs on top were so dried out and burnt that I couldn’t even tell if there was even any meat on it. It was not edible at all! With how expensive the food is I’d expect a lot better quality. The Mac and cheese was supposed to be smoked and it was most definitely not. It’s like they took a block of velveeta and threw it in the oven with noodles and over cooked it to the point where to noodles turned to mush.

Had the Cuban with potato salad and my wife had the philly cheese steak and potato salad. The potato salad was weird. Like half coleslaw half potato salad and way to much runny watery mayonnaise. The sandwiches were good, the meat was moist and tender but, absolutely lacked flavor. The side cups of mayonnaise were an odd choice that would be better used to give BBQ sauce to the lacking meat.

The quality of the meat and preparation were top notch.
Unfortunately I was in for a bit of surprise when taking my father-in-law out for his birthday this past Sunday. He loves BBQ and I thought of this place since we were in Dixon.
Everything about the food was different from the last time I visited. Both the quantity and quality of meet portions decreased.
The brisket had more fat than meat, the pulled pork had a big chunk of fat cap that should be removed when pulling pork, the saudage didn’t seem to be smoked, and the side were underwhelming.
The food was not bad, but definitely was not worth what I paid.
Hopefully it was just an off week, because I did really enjoy my first experience there.

First time trying this place and I am glad I did. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. I tried the 2 meat combo and the brisket was pretty good and the smoked sausage had a great flavor. The bonus was the pimento dip for the sausage. Very good stuff. I recommend the house bbq sauce and the pops sauce. Price was a little high but not enough to complain about. The honey butter is delishous also. Thank you for a great meal
