I attended an All Black Affair last night for a family member’s birthday. Our group of five had paid for reserved seating. One of our party members left during the event, leaving a chair with two coats on it. An older man in a blue vest approached my friend very aggressively about the chair, despite there being several empty chairs nearby. My friend explained that someone from our group had just left and that the chair was vacant. When she asked who he was, he rudely responded, “I am the owner of this establishment…” and continued in an unnecessarily hostile tone.
As I noticed the conversation escalating, I introduced myself and went to move the coats and chair. He was equally impolite to me—did not acknowledge my greeting and even snatched the chair from my hands as I was picking up the coats. As a Black business owner, and the daughter and granddaughter of business owners, I was deeply disappointed and honestly disgusted by his behavior. I will no longer support this establishment. Please do better.
Additionally, while leaving my review, I want to note that our table ordered lemon pepper wings and drinks, which took 1 hour and 7 minutes to arrive—and nothing came out correctly. The server also dropped hookah ashes down my back and into my hair.
The music was decent and the venue wasn’t overcrowded, but overall, I will not be returning.

Everything tasted AMAZING!! Went for lunch in the middle of a weekday so no one else was in there but us. A few people did come in and get to go orders so clearly the word is out about how good the food is. The indoor setup makes it clear that it’s probably more known as an after hours social space, but the food DEFINITELY stands up to the best soul food restaurants in town! I can imagine going there for an event or live music AND food would just give double the excellence!

I cannot believe this place is empty..I mean i walked in around 3 on a Wednesday and no other customers were here. What are you people eating! The pork chops were so big and seasoned and juicy! I had mac and cheese that reminded me of Busy Bee in Atlanta, and some greens..(personally I like my greens cooked a lil longer with some pepper sauce (with the vinegar but they didn’t have pepper sauce… that ish was still good tho)

Came here for Black Restaurant Week & they did not disappoint! Service was great, drinks were good & strong. My man and I had the smothered pork chops dinner. His sides were yams & collard greens, mine was rice with gravy & string beans. Everything tasted as good as it looked! Very chill atmosphere with good music. I can’t wait to go back!

Loved the food, it is delicious soul food that has homecooked by your Favorite Auntie vibes. Loved the chicken wings, catfish, Mac n cheese and strings beans. Shrimp are good too!! Nice place to watch the game. I was charged 20% gratuity and I was a party of 1. I did not see this stated on the menu or any signs stating that every check is charged 20% anywhere. I ordered 2 entress and 4 diff sides. Seasoning was not consistent in either plate, if any at all. Mac and cheese was boiled in water. Couldn’t taste any cheese, butter, salt, no nothing. Pork chop and gravy was bland. Collards had a strange taste. Crab cake was very salty. 1 pice of fish was seasoned and the other tasted like it was cooked in old burnt grease. Yams was inconsistent in flavor. Shrimp was seasoned and cooked perfect. Lemonade was great.
