Came at 9 am on a sat to get malasadas next door and this place was open with several regulars getting items to go. Tried it out since regulars must know the ritwik Al deal. SO good. Had lomi lomi chicharon and the Hawaiian style sauce makes it bright and refreshing. Chichiron is best quality I’ve had including eating at Philippines.

We tried the Chicharon Lomi Lomi which was fantastic. Definitely unique to Hawaii. The tomatoes and onions really added another dimension to the usually delicious chicharon pork belly.

The staff was very courteous and kind too. Would definitely come back! Highly recommended.

Located in Kona intl market
Conveniently located with their Filipino market next door
The Korean chicharon plate was very tasty and the Mac salad was an extra $1 or else it’s two scoops of white rice
The chicharon itself was an ok amount maybe max 8-9 pieces. Crispy and flavorful
Price has gone up
Staff was friendly and quick in making the food

the korean style chicharrón was delicious!! a must try if you are in the area. We came during the lunch hour and had to wait 20 minutes for a fresh batch. 10/10 would be back.

We got the chicharon lomi lomi. It had nice tender pork with a crisp crust and then a super yummy fresh tomato vinegar topping. It was refreshing and very yummy.

Family run overseen by the family Matriarch who started the place. Delicious food and attached to a market with groceries and dry goods. A must visit for us whenever we come to the Big Island.

Our Ilocano “manong” cab driver told us about this restaurant when I mentioned that my mother was Ilocana. I shared that I missed bagnet – comfort food from my childhood whenever I visited my mom’s home town. My wife and I rented a car and drove out the next day in search of Trini’s. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was inside the Kona International Market Food Court. We each ordered the chicharon (bagnet) plate prepared Filipino Lomi Lomi style. It was delicious. Highly recommended. Maraming Salamat Manang Trini! Agyamanak unay!

Absolutely the best food we have had in Hawaii. So yummy at a very low price. 8 dollars for two dishes with rice.

Very friendly people. We really loved the home style cooking. My picky parents who are visiting from China gave this place a two thumbs up. They kept talking about the food for a few hours.

The cook is the shop owner’s mom. She came from the Philippines. Super friendly. Her food tastes like grandmother’s cooking.

We found the place by random chance when we went to the International Market Place in Kona. We were NOT expecting good food from a food court.

Delicious food (chicaron plate) with decent prices. At a food court near Kona International Market and just about 6 min walking from Ola Brew.

Got the chicaron lomi lomi plate, Hawaiian style. Asked for spicy Mac as one of the sides (besides the rice). Carried over to Ola and then…..Devoured

Difference between Filipino and Hawaiian style for the lomi lomi plate is the former uses Paris and the latter uses ?shoyu? vinegar.
