Trieste is the best! Not to be missed in downtown MSP. Excellent, high quality, and original Greek favorites served up by a wonderful couple who’ve clearly been doing this for a minute.

Fast and friendly service, fresh food. Just stop in already!

You gonna feel the love of people in that dish!
Very tasty and fresh vegetables (literally cut in front of you), nicely cooked chicken, perfect garlic sauce, pickled peppers! I’m glad to get such plate for $15,21! I also got extra side pasta with olive oil.
I came after usual lunch time, so only 1 person was ahead of me.
One plate is exactly enough to fill the stomach.
Next time gonna taste veggie options.

What a gem of a restaurant. They cut the vegetables right in front of you and everything tastes that fresh. The food is delicious and the value is extremely high. I had the gyros lunchbox which I could eat daily. I hope I can return before I leave Minneapolis and recommend you stop by for lunch if you are close.

There was a constant line from the time I got there until I left (I ate in the restaurant), but the line moved quickly and clearly is a favorite for locals. The #5 salad was chopped up right in front of me – it doesn’t get more fresh than that. I really enjoyed the tzaziki but was also glad to be able to try – the pita with hummus that is served alongside the salad. Great service as well!

I was craving some gyros and this place definitely delivered! Food is delicious and the garlic dip is so good! The owners were so kind when I had some challenges adding the garlic dip to the pick up order.

Doing a pick up with a car was a bit of a struggle, but I parked across the restaurant in the parking lot. Since the trip was so quick, thankfully I dodnt have to pay the $8 that I saw as the parking estimate.

This place is the best! The classic pita gyro is perfect and don’t skip on the pasta salads. I love watching them cut the veggies fresh while preparing my food. Favorite spot in town

Really nice classic Greek spot. It’s been in the same place in Minneapolis downtown since 1990 and the food shows. Not only that, the person who set it up still cooks and serves the food. Quality food in a nice cozy spot. You can’t go wrong with it if you’re just looking for a quick lunch while you’re in Downtown.

I am always skeptical of 4.7+ star places with with hundreds or thousands of reviews, but when I arrived before 11:30am there was a line a dozen people deep. As I reached the counter I realized the chef was making each meal to order, making Greek salads on the fly. In an era when seemingly everything is pre-batched and streamlined, this counter service Greek deli is a breath of fresh air.

Food was fantastic, line moved quickly given the handmade nature of the operation, and prices were readable for what you’re getting.

It is a tiny cafe in the bottom of the Lumber Exchange Building in downtown Minneapolis. But you’re not taking any wedding parties there. Best to get your food to go. MAYBE 21 people can fit in the cramped dining room. But you’re there for food you would expect in the Mediterranean. Creamy tzatziki, wonderfully textured hummus, home-baked pita. It’s all there. The portions are immense. This may be the only time we go since we’re from out of town. But they have their regulars as you can tell from the conversations. And regular or not, they are happy to see you.
