We had an unforgettable dining experience at Tri Šešira in the heart of Belgrade’s historic Skadarlija district. This iconic restaurant has a truly special atmosphere – a perfect blend of tradition, charm, and lively energy that makes every visit memorable.

The menu offers authentic Serbian cuisine with generous portions and rich flavors, and everything we tried was delicious and satisfying. Whether you’re in the mood for grilled specialties, hearty mains, or fresh salads, there’s something to enjoy around every corner of the menu.

The service was warm and professional, with experienced servers who clearly love what they do.

One of the highlights of dining here is the live music. Several orchestras and musicians play traditional Serbian songs as you eat, creating an upbeat, festive atmosphere that really brings Skadarlija to life. It’s not just a meal – it’s an event.

The setting – in a historic cobblestone street full of bohemian spirit – only adds to the magic. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning again, Tri Šešira feels like a true Belgrade classic and a must-visit restaurant in the old town!

Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, lively music, and a genuine taste of Serbian hospitality!

I was in this restaurant several years ago, and I was pleasantly surprised because the impression now is better than the last time.
It is important in which part of the restaurant you reserve a table (there are several different), the impression varies a lot from that. We were in a cozy area next to a small fireplace, in a room rich in New Year’s decorations (we were guests on Christmas Day). The space was fresh airy even though there were a few smokers nearby (I am not sure if it is smoking area, we are not smokers ), and it was pleasantly warm even outside was very cold .
The menu is extremely rich and covers all tastes, but it is mainly based on the meat offer. We also ordered local red wine, appetizers, lamb and veal several types of salads, and dessert and coffee at the end… and everything was quality, fresh and delicious.
I read in reviews a lot of complaints about the service and in the restaurant I realized that it’s a local type of service with a touch of personal that you either like or not, but it’s really not that kind of professional distanced service which is common in most places this type. It was OK for me personally, it didn’t bother me, although I like other type … but, I repeat, I had no serious complaints.
There were 6 of us and we had a great time, we will definitely repeat it.
My warm recommendation for this place

The atmosphere and the style was definitely not what I was in the mood for
during my visit. Music was old, native, as well as the decor, which might be just fine if the place was a bit brighter. It was so dark that it was very hard to see bones in my filet. Otherwise, neatly decorated. During my visit there was also live music, which is a very good enrichment of the evening. Staff was pleasant, polite. The dish was not exactly what I have ordered, yet still very delicious! On top of it it was the first time I got a lemonade served with option of a honey instead of sugar, loved it!

Amazing place! The atmosphere is iconic – classic Belgrade charm meets cozy vibes. The live music adds such a lively, authentic touch, and the staff make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The food? Traditional, Balkan, hearty, and full of flavor – perfect for trying local specialties. Every visit feels like a little trip back in time with modern comfort. A must-visit if you want to experience the real soul of Belgrade!

Food and service were fantastic, no complaints there. The restaurant has different live music groups performing in various sections, which is a fun concept. However, the group playing in our area mostly performed slow songs, while the bands inside were creating a much more lively atmosphere. Since we specifically chose this place for the upbeat live music experience, it was a bit disappointing not to get the same energy at our table.

I promised myself I would visit this restaurant again, and I was very satisfied. The service is excellent, and the food is incredibly tasty. We tried the traditional Serbian meat platter for two, and it was delicious. I highly recommend the dessert Trilece – a traditional Balkan dessert made with three types of milk.

The music and live bands add to the authentic local atmosphere and culture. The service was fast and polite. I recommend making a reservation in advance.

Popular with both locals and visitors, Tri Šešira is a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience Belgrade’s cultural soul. Due to its popularity, reservations are highly recommended before visiting.

The place is spacious, has many different rooms, turns and corners, tables stay close to each other, of course the smoking is allowed… We knew that and decided to visit it for very early dinner around 5pm. So the restaurant wasn’t full at all, we easily found a table without neighbors or smoke around. The quality of food is outstanding, it was our first experience with serbian food and we got the best impression
The waiters are doing their job, thank you!

A very cozy and elegant place with extremely kind staff. We stopped by just for meze, but I believe the main dishes are also delicious — the meze was absolutely amazing. There is also live music, which adds to the great atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Popular traditional restaurant with a history where many celebrities visited. Food and service is good but nothing extraordinary given the relatively higher price you pay. There is also live music which you have to pay tip for. Overall may be worth the visit once, if you have already tried local Serbian food in abundant of other places in town and want to try a new place. Payment with card is possible!
