I have been looking for a place like this, great atmosphere and theme it looks exactly like the kung fu movies from the 70s and 80s that I enjoyed as a kid. The food was top notch ill definitely be back! They should incorporate some type of kung fu theater for extra entertainment!!

Wonderful meal and great service. The quality of beef and broccoli was (unfortunately) not as high as it used to be when the restaurant was in nearby Hammond. It is simply not the same cut of beef!
Still a really good meal with variety and fair portions

I moved from Northern Virginia to Louisiana 4 years ago. I have been looking for a Chiense restaraunt with good food but had no luck. I saw Trey Yuen on the side of the road on Memorial Day on the way to the lake. I kept it in mind. For Father’s Day my family and I finally went and I was blown away. It was truly a magical and extraordinary culinary experience. I have found my favorite restaurant of all time. The food was the best Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. The General Tso’s Chicken tasted authentic. Not like up north were it is made sweet. Everything was made from quality ingredients. All meats and vegetables were tender and just mouth watering goodness. My family and I sampled each others dishes and it all was just incredible. Everything about Trey Yuen was exceptional from the beautiful decor, to the atmosphere, to the top notch service. Before you leave make sure you also enjoy the outside of the restaurant as well. The grounds are just gorgeous with water features, koi fish and a beautiful waterfall. A true gem. If you want authentic Chiense cooking Trey Yuen is the place to go. All I can say is you have a customer for life!

Some of the best Chinese I have had in a very long time! We had the flaming chicken dish. They lit it on fire at the table. Fun and delicious.

Ranked by USA Today as one of the top Chinese restaurants on the planet (i.e., Shanghai, London, San Francisco). The neat trick about the coy ponds out front is that when someone comes up to seat your party, don’t forget to say, “Before we are seated, can we have some fish food?” Upon request only, they have special sized containers of fish good for customers to feed the coy fish. It’s awesome: The food as well as the glorious setting and great waitstaff.

We’ve been loyal customers since they were serving fried rice from a walk-up window! The food is fantastic. The service was great aside from the young woman who took payment for my to-go order. Not very personable, but the other young ladies at the door were great!

Anytime I’m on the Northshore I try to stop here for their delicious gluten free Chinese food. They have rice noodles for the lo mein and can do stir fry chicken and shrimp dishes too. Curbside delivery is great and it’s beautiful inside.

I can’t believe I have lived in Metairie area my entire life and ate here for the first time last week! This place is amazing all around! We went on a Sunday night and there was a 25 minute wait and now I know why. Once seated, Mary our server greeted us. I told her that I had to follow a gluten free diet then she proceeded to point out numerous dishes that are GF and could be made GF (even though the menu had most things already marked GF). The eggdrop soup was my app, delicious. Vegetable fried rice, perfect! And curry chicken in a delicious sauce with veggies, wow! Mary gave me additional sauces that were all GF. The portions are large, so you can definitely split dishes with someone else. I highly recommend this restaurant! Can’t wait to go again! Oh, and the atmosphere was dark, but not too dark and really interesting to look at!

Ordered food to go, timing was okay but here’s my issue. If you are going to charge an asinine amount for the “CRAWFISH eggplant special” and give me a bowl of frickin mushrooms with THREE, yes, THREE crawfish in it, you should let your customers know. I live over 45 minutes away to come get this because I USED to love it until yesterday. I looked in the bag to check my order and saw the 3 crawfish not thinking that was going to be the only ones. The fact that you cut costs but charge sky high prices is disgusting. I dont know who runs this place now but it can’t be overseen by the Wongs because they would never let this happen. I guess maybe the GM or whoever gets a bonus if they keep food costs low. Well not that losing my business will affect you but after that $60 wasted, you have definitely lost mine which is sad because no one else serves the eggplant that way but I refuse to pay that much for a few pieces (there were 6 in my box) and a bowl of mushrooms. Just beyond disgusting and ridiculous.
