Delicious! We randomly ate here on wiener Wednesday and got the must have sausage half link. So good. This was the first jalapeño cheese sausage at a BBQ place where the jalapeño still had a crunch! Loved it.

We actually ordered the brisket, pulled pork and turkey with potato salad, their devine mac, and banana pudding. Everything was great. Though we did miss the mustard in the potato salad.

One of my favorite things: you got a choice between bread and tortillas on the side. We never eat the bread, sk it was awesome to have the tortillas!

So worth the stop!

Today, These pictures were taken here at Treviño’s Craft Smokehouse in Jacksboro Texas.
They are a family owned smokehouse. You walk into this beautiful building and you see nothing but family on the walls. You see history. You see growth. You see hard work and grit in their eyes. You can almost smell the smoke through the pictures. This is a Texas family restaurant. This is hometown Texas. I didn’t walk into a corporate restaurant. I walked into Texas. I walked into family. I walked into roots. I walked into history in the making. As I look at all the pictures, I see the progression of age. The progression of wisdom. The progression of hard work. As I was looking at the pictures on the wall, one of the ladies that works here approached me and asked how everything was. I could only say fine, just fine. But it’s more than fine. Its Texas. As large as the state of Texas is, our growth started in small communities. Not even large enough to call a town. Farmers and ranchers getting together on the weekend after church. Everybody bringing a little bit of something, or a lot of something else. It started with small kitchens and great hearts. Old recipes and new coming together. Grandmas grandma would put something in it. A German grandmother would say, try this. A Polish grandmother would say, no, try this.
And that’s exactly what I’m doing right here, right now. I’m going from one piece of this meal to the next. Trying a little bite and thinking about all the flavors in each one. There are many flavors happening here. I taste Laredo in the serving of corn. I taste all of Texas in the beans. The mac n cheese reminds me of ours cooked on the Frio River river bed. Smokiness with comfortable spice to liven up the cheese. The potato salad is second to none. Bell peppers and chives bring an extra breath of love to what you’re normally going to find in potato salad. Sausage, in all fairness, excellent. The smoke flavor is there, balanced with the right snap at your teeth. As you bite into it you’re rewarded with a delightful mix of spices added to the sausage with care. Not bland and not overbearing by any means. Folks, I’m moving on to the brisket. Before I could taste it, I brought a fork to it. It pulled apart as if a door was being opened and I was being invited into a home. I went on in. What an invitation. After coming back out from the brisket, I saw the turkey resting there peacefully on the tray. I was reluctant to disturb the slices, but I’m glad I did. I was sad to see them go. I was left with ribs. We stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity. Like AT&T, I had to reach out and touch someone. It just happened to be the ribs in front of me. They were dressed to go and I took them. I went to town on them and they took me to flavor town. Words fall short at this point. I’ve been able to speak with Dustin during this visit. We have the same joys, the same concerns, the same heartaches as any family owned business. What each and every one of us needs to understand is this. We can make the choice to go to a corporate restaurant or go to a family owned restaurant. We can choose to be part of a story of success or just another ticket at a corporate restaurant. Let us remember the true power of our decisions. Trevinos Craft Smokehouse is family. Our family, your family. And family needs family. I choose family restaurants because I know how much it matters. Good hearty food. Not processed. Healthy. Family. America.
If I didn’t get my point across, Let me say it right here right now: Everything was excellent! Everything!

We’ve been awaiting trying this BBQ place that we’ve only heard rave reviews of. We are foodies and Trevinos BBQ is for foodies and non-foodies alike. We tried quite a few meats and sides and loved everything. Our favorites were the ribs, pork belly, and the potato salad. The bark on the ribs and pork belly was to. die. for…. The best ribs I’ve had in over a decade. The texture of the ribs were perfect. The pork belly was luscious and so flavorful. We loved all of the sides, especially that they’re all unique to Trevinos. Highly recommend the potato salad, mac n cheese, slaw, and street corn.
The pricing was a lot more reasonable than I was expecting. We are fans of Cooper’s in Llano and of Salt Lick in Dripping Springs and Trevinos was definitely a little easier on my wallet.

I met up with a colleague here, we both love bbq and decided to try it out, so glad we did!!!

All the meats were amazingly tender! I got the 3 meat plate with Ribs, brisket, and turkey. I got the Chori- mac and cheese, street corn, and pan friend potato salad. If I had to rank the meats it would be 1. Ribs 2. Brisket 3. Turkey. The owner was there and she was so sweet and welcoming and talked to us about the place and food! The only reasons I did not give this 5 stars is because I wanted more bark on the brisket and more smoke flavor in the turkey. DO NOT SLEEP on this spot though, it was really great! I will be going back!

Just had an incredible meal at Treviños Craft BBQ. Having tried many of the big-name ‘Top 50’ spots, I can safely say their unique flavor profile puts them in my personal Top 10. Exceptional food and great service. Do not pass this place up if you’re in Jacksboro!

Incredible food with very distinct flavors and mixes. The pork belly sopapilla was oddly intriguing and mixed salty sweet and savory with a dessert vibe that I ate before the well appointed sausage and moist and flavorful turkey Owner is accommodating and has a hidden gem that should be on the top 25 BBQ places to visit

Add a bar and this will be biker heaven…

We loooooove Trevino’s! The owners and staff are always so nice. The food is absolutely delicious! My favorites are the ribs, jalapeno cheese sausage and the MAC & CHEESE! Yum! My husband loves the brisket, beans and potato salad. You honestly can’t go wrong with anything you order! I do miss the burnt end dessert they had in the beginning!

First off, the food is top notch. Literally everything on the menu can compete with any BBQ joint in Texas. I have had plenty of the famous places on the list and this is right there with the best of them. Get the Trilogy plate and split it with someone and you get ple6of bang for your buck, which is hard to do with the price of meat these days. Second, these people who run it are some of the kindest humans you will ever meet. You cannot go wrong by eating here.

Absolutely love this restaurant. We came here with a big party and they were very patient with smiles on their faces. I got brisket some street corn and a piece of toast and it was very filling after a couple of bites. The staff is wonderful, the bathrooms are well-kept, the atmosphere is very welcoming and breathable. A secret gem in this Texas state, 5 stars 🙂
