I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Tesca in Boston! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of authentic Italian charm. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home.
The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted like it was made with high-quality ingredients and genuine care. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauces were rich and delicious. You can truly taste the authenticity in every bite.
The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant, making it ideal for both a romantic dinner or a special night out with friends. The wine selection was also excellent and paired perfectly with our meal.

My first time dining at Tresca was 3 years ago and it was fantastic. My most recent dining experience left a lot to be desired.

The Good: Service, Atmosphere, Meatballs, Bread

The Ok: Calamari, Arancini

The Bad: Chicken Parm (picture included)

I don’t claim to be an expert but I’ve truly never seen a piece of chicken parm like this. It was so incredibly thin that it became tough and difficult to cut. It was loaded up with soggy breadcrumbs and cheese making it appear like a large serving, but hiding underneath was a 1/8 inch thin (that’s being generous) piece of chicken.

Ultimately, I had 2 bites before I informed my server and she removed my plate. A few minutes later a manager arrived at my table. He was very polite and said they would remove it from my bill, which I appreciated. He apologized by saying “I’m sorry that the chicken parm wasn’t up to your standards”. I don’t think I have particularly high food/dining standards, but it wasn’t worth squabbling over. I asked if he saw my meal and he said “no”. So I showed him the picture on my phone, also posted below. He didn’t have much to say after that, other than “we serve thin chicken parm”. I don’t know if that’s true, having only dined there once prior, however 2 others at my table ordered chicken parm and it looked nothing like mine.

Anyways, I appreciate it being removed from my bill but at the end of the day, it’s not about money. I don’t mind spending the money. I care about receiving a decent meal and good service. Unfortunately, I only received one of those things.

Tresca is the perfect blend of casual and “a little nicer”. A great blend of traditional dishes and “a little different” (see Bolognese Nachos and Chicken Parm Egg Rolls). The cocktails were delicious and we ended up two appetizers (large!), a salad and one entree for three people and we were STUFFED. Can’t beat the location.

Great meal with my college daughter. The staff were professional and the food was exceptional. Pasta portions were more than we could finish after the great antipasti course—lobster stuffed mushrooms, burrata, carbonara, lobster ravioli were all standouts. Creative mocktail for my daughter. Nice to be greeted by the owner and to see him stopping and visiting with other tables. We will absolutely return.

Walked in with no wait (cause its Boston in the winter) and the food was so good. I ordered a special, which was like a pasta di mare that can feed two people. So much delicious seafood and the flourless chocolate cake was delicious too. But the star- that foccacia was the foccacia of my dream. Best foccacia in the North End. I would go here just to have the bread service.

Tresca is outstanding. We are in Boston for a ladies weekend and were recommended to dine here. We were not disappointed.
Our meal was exquisite, thanks to executive chef and owner Rich, whom added total joy to our evening meal. His personal visit to our table multiple times, provided us an amazing experience.
We had the appetizer of meatballs, so tender with the beef and veal. Our entrees of fresh scallops, so delectable, & risotto, lobster ravioli and bolognese pasta were scrumptious!
Our servers Filipe and David waited on us anticipating our every need. The feel of a family atmosphere is what makes a place and we experienced this at Tresca.
Lots to choose from for dining, especially in the North End, Lil Italy, of Boston. You are missing out by not going to Tresca, so check them out.

The Chef came out greeted us, and talks to you like he has known you for years, and checks on you periodically. His staff is very informative and answers all your questions. Waitresses will even help you with recommendations. My wife, stepdaughter & I all had homemade meatballs w/ ricotta & fresh basil as appetizer, cocktails were awesome then we all had the season special,
Pumpkin Risotto highly recommend it. Seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend Tresca’s. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you for such an awesome experience & great time & helping in celebrating Becky’s birthday.

My friend and I went to Tresca yesterday for his birthday. The place is so nice and cosy. The staff is so friendly and keeps smiling. They offer complimentary bread at first which is so good, one of the best I had. For the main dishes, we shared lobster ravioli and linguine alla volgone. Both were so good but if I want to pick a favorite it would be the ravioli. Portions are fair and you have the option to choose between a small or a regular portion. I had mentioned when booking that it was my friend’s birthday and they offered dessert on the house with a candle which is a very sweet gesture.

I stopped by after a day of exploring Boston. It was early afternoon and I was only looking for a nice beverage to take the edge off. The bar staff were knowledgeable and I decided on a Pomegranate Martini. The drink was made well using high quality, flavorful mixers and alcohol.

Since it was not busy the bar staff was chatty and gave me excellent advice on sights to see around town. The overall atmosphere was inviting, service exceptional, drink amazing and is definitely priced appropriately. Drink cost with a nice tip was $26.
