Shrimp racos are excellent, ask for the special salsa. A bit pricey for a small town until you see the quality of the food! The pastries were delightfully crumbly without being too dry. Try the pig shaped one, made with molasses and a hint of star anise. Definitely worth a stop!!

Delicious authentic Mexican food. As someone who was raised in Mexico finding a good Mexican restaurant in the area is hard. Until I found Traes Leches Bakery is a family owned business with delicious food with very affordable prices. They are friendly and make you feel welcome every time you enter their restaurant. The ambiance and decoration of the place send you immediately to somewhere in Mexico. Don’t forget they are also a bakery with delicious pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread). Totally recommend this place

The absolute cutest place. The food is AH-MAZING!!! Highly recommend the Beef Sopes and the street tacos. I can’t wait to taste the pan dulce tomorrow morning with coffee. If you are passing through Brownwood, don’t pass this hidden gem up.

We were greeted with the delicious smell of pan dulce (sweet bread)! Owner was very friendly and we felt welcomed. We ordered their carne asada sopes and shrimp tacos – they were delicious! Definitely coming back!

Best Mexican restaurant I’ve enjoyed in Texas. Authentic Mexican food, made with fresh ingredients. Baked goods were also delicious. Owners are stellar! Great customer service, cool atmosphere. Don’t bother anywhere else. This is the destination for delicious Mexican food.
