We had the best experience at our local Mexican restaurant! We always try something new and have never been disappointed! Do yourself a favor next time you’re anywhere near Ft Monroe, Buckroe Beach, Phoebus, or passing through the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel HRBT. Stop here and enjoy! It’s just off the last exit before and after the HRBT. An old Hardee’s building turned into an authentic Mexican grill. The food is flavorful and aromatic. We love the table guacamole. My husband and I agreed, it was the best we ever had anywhere…. and we’ve had a LOT of table guacamole There’s a nice patio with plenty of air flow just off the main dining room. You aren’t able to enter from the patio but a short walk around the building places in the heart of the quaint space.

I was craving guacamole and my husband found this place on google maps. I am so happy as this is easily some of the best authentic Mexican food we’ve had in a hot minute!! It reminds me of homemade.
I’m half Mexican and this tastes like food my dad used to cook! I had the queso Birria tacos and my husband had pollo Monte Carlo we think lol. And I ordered the guacamole Fresca and it was absolutely delicious!

Amazing restaurant. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. Seating is very roomy. The food was wonderful- not too spicy for me- but I know that staff are more than happy to spice it up for the dragons out there !
They have al fresco seating- I look forward to enjoying that when the weather cools.
Traditional Mexican music played at the perfect volume.

I went to Tres Compadres for the first time this week. It was a weekday lunchtime visit. The restaurant is clean and the service was good. I ordered the hot and spicy burrito. It was huge, which was what I wanted (bring leftovers home for dinner!). BTW, there is a lunch special menu. I will be back. My only wish would be that they turn down the music. It was way too loud, making it hard to converse with my friend.
