My wife and I took a road trip to Astoria today and decided to try this restaurant. We are so happy we did! You will not find any fresher or more flavorful seafood on the Oregon coast. We shared the lingcod fritanga and the scallop ceviche, which they perfectly catered to our requested spice level. Not only was the food spectacular but the owners are the kindest people who are passionate about their food and their community. We will definitely be returning and recommending to all our family and friends.

Food and service were top notch. We really enjoyed the quality of ingredients. The atmosphere was great. It was just off the main streets, but still close enough to a lot of other shops. We got the Fritanga Pork and La Parilla Mahi Mahi. The fish was a little overcooked, but everything else was cooked perfectly.

This was my first experience with Nicaraguan food and if it’s yours too I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH!!!! the owner is a beautiful and kind person, she talked to us and explained her story from food truck to restaurant. The atmosphere is warm cozy and inviting. The food was second to NONE! Hands down the most delicious meal I’ve had in a long time. If I ever visit Oregon again (we are from Florida) I will be coming here again and again!!!

Visited for lunch on a trip down from Olympia, and was very impressed. It was a bonus that virtually everything in the restaurant is gluten free. They are considering going purely gf, but had not yet when we were there.
We both ordered the fritanga, which seemed like a good sampler plate of food from Nicaragua. One of us had it with pork and the other with lingcod. Both were excellent. Dessert was nothing short of fantastic: gf carrot cake and a gf chocolate torte, both worthy of a trip on their own. The carrot cake was amazing for its thin crunchy crust and soft middle.
I wish we didn’t live two hours away, or we’d be there frequently.
Highly recommended.

Wow- I’ve been visiting Astoria for years and somehow missed this gem! Locally owned and locally sourced food where possible, authentic Nicaraguan street food elevated. Don’t miss the trip appetizer- wild bright, herbal and spicy flavors provide the perfect complement to crispy, salty pork and sweet plantains with their own salty element, a strange combo of cotija and crema (a sort of mayo vibe) that works incredibly well, funky salty and caramelized sweet. The main grilled lingcod had a perfect golden sear on both sides, flaky and juicy white fish. Seriously, don’t miss this one! 10/10

If you haven’t been to Tres Bros, I highly recommend you try this place out next time you are in Astoria. Yadira’s cooking is truly on another level, the shrimp tacos are the best I’ve ever had. Named after their three boys, Yadira and Joshua own and operate the restaurant and sometimes you will even see the Tres Bros helping.
Amazing food with a family feel makes Tres Bros a real destination.

We opted for one of the more pricey options on the menu, which was at market price and fair, to be amazed with the quality of the food, presentation, and especially the Host and Owner. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or even living in Astoria. The food is gorg, the atmosphere lovely, the ambience, cozy, and well priced for the quality you receive. We reside some of the year in Astoria, and this is one of our new favorites!

I chose this place on a whim while visiting just based on the reviews and didn’t do much research and thought I was walking into a Mexican joint and I was so pleasantly surprised with how flavorful and how each item on the plate contrasted with and complemented each other. You had your sweet you had your more acidic flavors, salty contrast with the fried cheese then a nice smoky flavor to the protein I chose. I’d say it’s much more punchy and flavorful than any Mexican fair. Really glad I tried the plate that had a little bit of everything. Definitely will come back with reinforcements!

Summary: PHENOMENAL, you should eat here. We’re in town celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted something special – Tres Bros delivered tenfold. I have a gluten intolerance and was floored by the flourless chocolate torte with passionfruit topping! I could have eaten 3 of them lol. We got 3 dishes to share and it was the perfect amount of food. The scallop ceviche was incredible, fairly priced for a sizeable portion and sooo good. My husband is a chef and when he says “one of the better ceviches i’ve ever had” he means it we were in the restaurant at closing time and got to chat with Joshua and heard a little of this restaurant’s story and vision – I won’t spoil it, just go in, have a beautiful meal, and hear it for yourself. We wish Tres Bros nothing but success.

Excellent food, even better service, and an “off the menu” michelada that was the best I’ve ever had! We loved this spot and felt like family while dining here. The Fritanga with shrimp and pork was a perfect combo. My daughter ate all her sopa frijoles, and the tacos were great, too! We’re coming back here soon!!
