It’s a cute little spot. Nice decorations and atmosphere, the service was good (staff were polite and attentive).
The food- I got the cheese enchiladas, the sauce was interesting! It was probably the closest to a good Tex mex gravy and haven’t had something this good since Texas.
My partner got the fajitas, pretty good for only 13$! Great pricing for the amount of food we got and taste factor.
Something interesting about it was the mushroom ceviche that they serve with the bean dip and salsa as an appetizer.
Overall it was a good experience. Thank you for your hospitality!

Great flavor, good price, generous portions. Very family friendly with a good sized kids menu. Highlights were the mushroom ceviche and steak fajitas. We will absolutely be coming back.

Great Place to Stop!
I stopped here on my way back to Missouri and had a really pleasant experience. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Our waiter was a super nice guy—friendly and helpful. Even the bathrooms were clean, which says a lot! If you’re traveling through the area, I definitely recommend stopping by.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious and very generous portions. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was very clean. The prices were very very reasonable. 100% would recommend and come back.

UPDATE:
We got stuck half day in town due to road closures and had to go back for more of this delicious food. One more time awesome all around.

I heard this place was the most authentic Mexican food in Cheyenne. It’s certainly the most authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. The Enchiladas were delicious, the margaritas were wonderful, and the dessert was the prefect way to top it off. Service was amazing, too.

Tres Amigos is truly a gem. Every single visit has been nothing short of exceptional. The quality of the food is always top-notch — fresh, flavorful, and made with care. But what sets this restaurant apart is the service. Jonathan and the entire team consistently go above and beyond to create a welcoming and memorable experience. They don’t just serve guests… they genuinely care, and it shows in every interaction.

Whether it’s a quick lunch or a night out with friends and family, this place has become one of our absolute favorites. It’s rare to find a restaurant that checks all the boxes — comfort, flavor, hospitality, and consistency — and Tres Amigos does that with excellence every time.

Highly recommend!

Truly terrible Mexican food. First arrive to the ridiculous hosted stand 50 yards into the place, got a table. Lady brought us chips and salsa, we thanked her twice and she didn’t say a word. Right away didn’t feel welcome. The waiter was nice, but he forgot our sour cream, and didn’t check on us once durning the meal. Then, charged us for the sour cream. The chile rellano was ordered crispy, it had soggy breading and cheap cheese just globed inside. It was also smothered and it made it even more soggy. I would be happy to come down and teach them how to make a proper one, it was embarrassing. I rung out half a cup of grease from it after I tried to cut it and it was rubbery like it was microwaved. The enchiladas were tough like they were microwaved or sat out for hours pre made. The beans were the consistency of soup and the salsa was sweet and didn’t taste right. Some of the worst Mexican food, and service, I’ve ever run across in Cheyenne. The meals come out way too fast to be cooked to order. Very disappointing, unprofessional, and disgusting. To top it off, I was done with my food for 30 mins before the doughnut came and asked if we needed anything. Maybe the check so I can leave, and never return. It’s run by people who have no idea what they are doing. The fact they won best Mexican in town, is a joke. I may be white, but I’m from New Mexico, and I could cook them under the table and eat at home. Best thing about that is the food would be edible. I bet they couldn’t boil an egg l, it’s truly unbelievable how bad this place is. Garbage.

The service here is great. But the food is incredible! The mushroom salsa is the best! It is served with chips before you order, along with regular salsa & refried beans, which are both great too. The menu is full of items to choose from. Everything I have tried has been wonderful! Eat here!

We stopped in for dinner, the first time here. The staff was super friendly and efficient. They have staff members that bring out the chips and salsa/beans/mushrooms mix, staff members that take your order, and other staff members that just stop by to see how you are doing. We ordered the Chicken Fajitas Quesadilla and a Chicken Chimichanga. Lots of food and delicious. Overall, I would go back and recommend them.
