Honestly, I didn’t expect the food, service, or vibe at Treo in Chula Vista to be this good — especially for a place that feels like a resort. Everything from start to finish impressed me.

We started with the Little Gem Caesar, which came as a very generous portion. I ordered mine with both the ranch and green goddess dressings on the side, mixed them together, and it was absolutely delectable. I added salmon on top…a perfectly cooked 4-ounce filet that was tender and flavorful. My husband ordered the same salad with grilled chicken, which came as a juicy, beautifully done breast topped with chives. We also added a side of vegetables, and they were excellent…a mix of fresh squash and seasonal greens cooked just right.

The real standout, though, was my daughter’s Lumache pasta. It was so thoughtfully prepared with sungold tomato Pomodoro, corn pesto, and herbed goat cheese. The chef himself brought it out, and it showed how much care goes into every dish. I’m not even a pasta person, but I loved it — truly the highlight of the night.

Service was top-notch thanks to Katie, who was phenomenal, and the manager, who was so warm and genuinely hospitable. My daughter finished off with the brownie sundae, which looked incredible. I’ll definitely be saving room for dessert next time… though tonight, I was craving something warm instead.

A beautiful surprise of a restaurant with great energy, excellent food, and an attention to detail that’s rare to find in resort-style dining.

Great place for my birthday breakfast with my family last Thursday. The breakfast buffet was amazing, the buffet/food layout was nice, the service was great, and the food was delicious. Great job Trejo restaurant at beautiful Gaylord Pacific Resort! I will definitely be back!

Everything we ordered tasted amazing. My dad especially loved the Wagyu Burger and could not stop talking about it. The burgers were incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. It was a meal we all truly enjoyed.

Very pleasant dinner meal. Nice atmosphere. Server was great. Market fish was sea bass $44 and the steak $56 and we order two Desserts for $14, Sunday night in the off season and it was pretty quiet, easy to talk.

This restaurant has a brekfast buffet on weekends and it is awesome! I have been here twice so far and I am impressed with the quality, selection, and organization. You can choose from many options for breakfast. Some of the delicious menu items are; scrambled eggs, sausage, chicken sausage, seasoned, potatoes, waffles, mini pancakes, fruits, yogurt, cereal, a made to order omellete station and so much more. On this visit they added a new crepe station where the chef makes the crepes in front of you and you add the toppins. I hope that sticks around, as they were tasty! The customer service is some of the best I have experienced at any restuarant in San Diego. Stephanie was very helpful and made some amazing crepes! Thank you! The restaurant is clean, well lit, and also has outdoor seating. I have not been here for dinner yet, but the breakfast buffet is so good that I will proably come back for the morning meal again and again. If you are a morning person and love brekfast foods, you can not do better than Treo.
Eat up!!!

We were excited to visit the new resort but unfortunately the service was not up to par with the price or beautiful hotel. We were a group of 10 people even though our server was very sweet you can tell they have not been properly trained. So management is at fault here. This place is definitely not a place for gatherings that wish to have conversation with each other, its a beautiful place but we found it very hard to hear each other, it was very noisy. It could be fun for people to sit and have a drink if you dont mind the noise. Service! Wow, we had to ask for everything, our drinks were not the best, bartender needs to know how to make drinks, some were ok but some were a destroyed by simply adding the wrong things to it, so bartender was very inexperienced! Food, its pricy and we splurged thinking we would indulge in the experience but…the food wasn’t the best, it was edible but was barely ok. We had to ask for salt and pepper and waited a while for it, I asked for a napkin and never got it, it took a long while to take our orders, then another long while to get our food. The food was barely warm. We ordered dessert and coffee, we got our coffee and had it for 10 min before our server came back to ask her for creamer and sugar by this time our coffee was cold! We had to eat our dessert with our coffee spoons. Things that should have been brought to us, 101 serving etiquette just wasn’t there. Things didn’t flow as they should, and when you go and splurge on an experience, it is very sad that the customer service was so poor! The place is beautiful, ambiance great but the food, drink and service, needs attention!

We were able to make a reservation for 12 a week ago and had a great time! Treo is located across from the PCH Cafe & Market right before Growler. The food was extremely yummy, just a little on the pricier side and the portions were a little small. It also took a while for drinks to come out and water to be refilled but understanding that staff are being trained. The ambiance as relaxing and the chairs were extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly.
Almost all the staff we spoke to also were fluent in Spanish on top of English

We enjoyed eating at Trēo so much, we seriously can’t stop talking about it. Staying at the hotel, we were so glad they had a gorgeous patio overlooking the ocean and the best mocktails we have ever tasted. Because the hotel was hosting multiple conventions, they were serving a buffet style dinner so we got to try everything! Salmon, beef, chicken, pokè, duck fat potatoes, roasted vegetables, nearly infinite options salad bar, and a plethora of delectable desserts. Everything had a deliciously unique flavor, nothing was over seasoned or over cooked, and I made a point of trying a bite of every single thing. The food was all incredible, the staff and chefs were friendly, attentive and a joy to be around. Highly recommend the patio but there is a stunning view from every table regardless of where you sit. Can’t wait to go back!

Worst hotel restaurant I’ve been to in about a year. I ordered a “pole caught Albacore” sandwich – I was given a tuna salad (not sure it was albacore – seemed too brown). I was expecting a nice Albacore fillet sandwich – that would be consistent with most people’s expectations in SAN DIEGO. Took one bite and returned it. They were so slow, I didn’t have time to reorder and just went hungry. Another person at the table ordered Tortilla soup and specifically asked for some kind of bread or role. His soup was almost gone before it arrived. He said the soup was so-so. That’s pretty sad since it’s Southern California and the Mexican border is about 10 minutes away. Typical hotel restaurant – nice design and decor… that’s it. Enjoy the view.

Amazing breakfast buffet! Although pricey it was well worth the money as this is one of the best breakfast buffets we have experienced. Loads of fresh fruit, hot and cold food items, amazing patisseries (must try Belgian waffles and croissants), omelette station. Exceptional!
