Altamont is a small town off the beaten path but it’s grown since the last time I was here. I had to stop when I noticed the unassuming Trent’s Grill when I was passing through. It’s an old school, clean, friendly place. They have a fairly simple menu with good prices.
The cheeseburger was very good with quality ingredients and a good char. While I was waiting I enjoyed chatting with the owner and listening to the banter from the regulars.
It’s a great place worth the stop.

The service is friendly and has a home town atmosphere. But being brutally honest the food is subpar in quality. Ordered 3 Philly cheese steaks. There was more bread and cream cheese than actuall steak on the sandwich. Fries were soggy. English chips tasted like it’s been cooked in grease that has not been changed in over 5 months. I’m not one to give a bad review, but you are better off making your own food at home for the portion, quality, and what you pay for your meal at this restaurant. 40$ later I could have made a much higher quality sandwich from home. I hope they take this advice and make changes.

BEST CHEESE BURGER I’ve had in a long time! A group of 100 road rally drivers descended upon Trent’s for lunch. Not only did they get us in and out in record time the entire staff was still smiling when the last drive left. The place is clean with plenty of parking. PLUS they didn’t mind a burnout, or two, in front of their business. I’ll drive the 123 miles back to Trent’s for their food.

Was in the area for my job and tried out this little place. I had their double-cheese burger and fries. Was done in a prompt manner and the service was professional but still homey. The food seemed fresh and had a good taste. The facilities were clean. I will be back the next time through.

Trent’s grill is a sit down joint on the smaller side. There’s nothing crazy about Trent’s menu and there doesn’t need to be. You’ll get burgers, with customization options (I added bacon, and jalapenos). You’ll get fries. They also have chicken: grilled/fried sandwiches, and strips. If your extra picky they have grilled cheese on the menu.
There’s not much to say, it reminds me of the burger place near my old highschool. World beater?! No, but you’ll leave satisfied. I believe the Trent that took my order was the owner and seemed that a nice guy.
NOTE: my wife had been here years prior and claims they serve “English Chips” on the menu and there are amazing! I think this is just a fancy way of saying french fries but there you go. Maybe take a look next time

Trent the owner is a super nice guy and his food is very delicious, if you ever in the Altamont area I would highly recommend stopping in for a burger from here.

Everyone’s got to try it! Best place to eat from Altamont to heber. Its a must have if you’re traveling through. About $10 per person, And worth every penny! You wont be disappointed!
