Treetop: a hidden gem. The staff is consistently kind and knowledgable, the drip coffee is on point, and the bags of beans are exciting. Lastly, if seasonal drinks are your thing (they weren’t mine until I tried these), they always have a healthy list of creative, caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages to choose from.

Visiting from Texas I was on the hunt for a specialty coffee shop in the area. I visited Tree Top because I noticed they didn’t have drinks with all those frilly artificial flavors and syrups, which is always a good sign to me that the coffee is good quality and not Starbucks-esque. I was NOT disappointed. Aside from the relaxing drive through the gorgeous neighborhood that the shop is located in, the coffee tasted so delicious and the shop itself is so cozy. I tried the seasonal “harvest” latte and it tasted like a cozy cup of fall, not too sweet, just perfectly flavorful. The 2 times I visited I tried an almond croissant and a chocolate croissant— both were delectable. I’ll be coming back anytime I get the chance to visit the Knoxville area!

My friend and I live in the Bearden area. We were looking for, and searched google for, a quiet coffee shop where we could converse without having to yell over music or the usual loudness of places like Starbucks. She has a bit of a hearing problem. Treetop Coffee Shop popped up so we gave it a try. Lovely little coffee shop. Service was friendly and professional. The coffee was great. We took the advice of a previous reviewer and asked for a real (ceramic) cup. We also had a yummy muffin. I did ask if they might turn down the music a little, which they did. That small favor resulted in a very enjoyable experience for us. We would highly recommend it.

Coffee was good. The place is nice. The barista was friendly but I have a pet peeve, if you have glasses and cups, you must ask if the coffee is “for here” or “to go”. It bothers me when the assumption is that I want to drink a nice coffee in a paper cup. That’s what happened here. Make sure you ask to get your coffee in a real mug or glass if you will not take it to go.

Fabulous latte! Looks great and tastes even better. Not sure of the magic here and how they do it, but it’s a special cup of Java. Highly recommend latte with whole milk and brown sugar. Yum city!

Best cozy and quiet coffee shop to escape the hustle. The staff were also friendly and warm. Describing the good energy that came from the people in a review does not do it justice. All I can say is this place will bring you peace if you take the time to stop in. I will definitely be coming back. Only negative is that it’s small but that’s also a positive, so you feel like you’re spending time in your personal spot.

decently good coffee, seems that they like to stick to the basics in terms of year round flavor but they’re pretty creative for seasonal offerings.
the atmosphere and people take the spotlight. i walked in for the first time and felt like i was in a coffee shop in the 90s when community was still a big part of the reason we went to coffee shops. definitely busy for new year’s day, most every spot was filled and for long, but i think that’s just a testament to how nice a space it is to chill in.

Great service, friendly staff! Coffee 10/10.. 5 stars across the board. The best kind of ice used for a latte! Perfect milk to espresso to syrup ratio!!! I ordered a brown sugar iced latte and will be back.

Writing this to remind myself that TreeTop is OK. I have been several times over the past year, and clearly gaslight myself into thinking “last time wasn’t that bad.”
But consistently, the drinks are not hot – they’re barely lukewarm. Out of a dozen times, maybe twice – the server has been kind. Otherwise, I have had to initiate the order…
Condolences to the owner, it is a cute shop but the service (lack of friendliness and quality of products) is just not great!!
I even thought, is it me?? But no, my friends have had similar experiences there. And after going so many times, I felt it was fair to share a review.
On a positive note – love the music they play.
Hope the owner can make some positive changes. Looking forward to going back again (optimistically) in the future.
