Ok, I will say some of the menu items are a little pricey, but, we ordered mushrooms for $6 and some change, and we ordered Calamari for $6? For that price, I didn’t expect much but both were delicious! The shrooms were a little bit too salty but they were still too good to complain. I ordered fried okra for my side and dipping it in the ranch that came with the shrooms was really good. We both ordered the Prime Rib Sandwitch with au-jus and when it came out, I was like, this is just bread and meat? I thought it would have something else on it, but…it was delicious! One of the other reviews I read said it was too fatty and greasy? What? I loved all of the fat and the grease!!! It’s prime rib for crying out loud! I was pretty impressed. They weren’t too busy so our food came iut really fast! Overall expieience was great!

We did take out for the first time. I think my experience was really good overall but there are two things I would like changed. Let me start with the good, they had my food ready fast. The servers were nice and the food was very affordable. I got a shrimp Po boy and my lady got crab cakes and a salad. The shrimp was some of the best in town hands down. But unfortunately this is where the complaints are. The sandwich needs a sauce. A dry sandwich for all these perfectly fried shrimp is a big miss. The crab cakes came with a sauce, just put that on the po boy and it’s golden. The crab cakes could’ve been better as well if they were a bit more fresh. But over all, I would suggest this place, with maybe a few tweaks or special adjustments.

We had a very large group and the service did take awhile, but that was understandable. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal; fried mushrooms, fried catfish, chickens wings and salads were all very good. The restaurant was also very clean and accommodating. I would go back.

OMG, absolutely love this place. The food is fresh and taste like no other. To be able to sit in a non traditional restaurant atmosphere but in the trees, was perfect. You weren’t starting at cars or buildings. I had the catfish, and boy was it good. We always stop in when we are in town.

My wife and I went to tree house to eat dinner after seeing a movie at Sweet Onion Cinemas and were very sad to see the original building cut off and closed due to the walkway being destroyed by either flowing water or a tree fall. The restaurant was operating out of a one-room large open area next to the the original treehouse restaurant. The food and service were still excellent however the hopefully temporary dining area really had no real character to it and the Ambiance of the original restaurant was totally absent hopefully they will be back in the original building before too long

Seated us about 15 minutes after getting there on a crowded night. Waitress was very friendly. Offered suggestions on drinks and food and explained items on the menu to us. Food was hot and fresh when we got it. We chose the bang bang shrimp plate and the prime rib dinner. Prices were reasonable and comparable to other restaurants serving similar food. We will definitely be back!

Long post alert… Worth reading if you’re thinking about going here:

My husband & I found this restaurant online while looking for things to do in Georgia, as we’ve lived here a year but not been able to explore as much as we would have liked with his old job. We came across this restaurant in Vidalia in our research & thought it would be cool to drive to & experience ourselves, Google maps showed it was about 3-3.5 hours away, so we decided to try it out… Then Covid-19 hit & the restaurant, like everything else in the country, closed for take-out only.

My parents came from Iowa to visit around Memorial Day weekend. We had told my parents we wanted to try this place & we were all excited to try it. We looked on Google maps & saw that it was still closed to dine-in seating. We tried to call, but no one answered so we assumed it was still closed. I decided to try to call again on Tuesday, 6/2/20, & found out they were reopened. My husband & I decided we would drive down to celebrate my birthday a couple days afterwards.

Come to today, 6/6/20… We got up & hit the road from Canton, GA, to Vidalia. We got to town earlier than the restaurant opened, so we drove around town. We pulled back in the parking lot around 4:55 & waited in the truck since they weren’t supposed to open until 5:30. There were 3 other cars in the parking lot, they all went down the stairs about 5:10, so around 5:15 we got out & went down the stairs ourselves.

We walked in & were told to have a seat wherever we wanted, so we sat down. The restaurant was decorated in a unique fashion. There were 3 young ladies helping get drinks & food orders. There was also an older gentleman there as well, I’d assume either the manager or owner.

We sat down at our table & were greeted right away. We gave the waitress our order, we wanted to split the 16oz ribeye, get onion peels, each have a salad & got an order of fries.

Our salads & onion peels came out very fast. We were surprised at how quickly they arrived at the table. The onion peels are very delicious & worth the money, the salads weren’t anything to write home about, but were ok.

Our steak & fries came out fairly quickly after that. At this point my husband’s beer was empty & my tea glass was almost empty. The gentleman brought out our food from the kitchen. He put the plate in front of my husband. I advised him that we were splitting the steak & asked for another plate, he said he’d bring it out. We waited about 7 min for the 2nd plate before my husband advised me to eat. Our drinks were empty. We could easily be seen by the staff from the bar, we were also walked by multiple times with no one stopping to check on us.

I went ahead & started eating part of the steak. Another 10 min passed before one of the girls came by the table to refill my tea glass. My husband was frustrated so he gave her our CC to pay the bill. The waitress asked how everything was, not looking at the fact that half of a 16oz ribeye sat uneaten. My husband replied, “I guess it was ok, but I wouldn’t really know.” The waitress took the CC & walked off without addressing his comment.

When I took the receipt to the bar, she asked how everything was again. I told her that we never got the 2nd plate we asked for so we could both eat so we only ate 1/2 the steak. She seemed completely unaware of how to respond, so she said she could go get another plate. I told her at that point it was too late. I gave her the receipt & walked out the door.

The steak was ok, but nothing special. It definitely didn’t look like it was a 16oz steak, even before it was cooked. It was over-seasoned for my liking, definitely not worth the $35+ for we paid for the steak.

This was a major disappointmeny for us. We definitely will not be driving back down here again. The only good thing that happened today was that we bought a bag of fresh Vidalia onions on the side of the road from a farmer.

I have a special needs child who loves coming to the treehouse. They have our drinks ready as soon as they see us waiting outside( we get there early) they cater to our child’s “special” wants like a certain colored spoon. They give hugs, and call her by name. She collects rocks and they even saved her rock she left behind til the next time we went to eat there . It’s the little things that matter so much the food is always hot and delicious. Atmosphere is always family friendly and the staff is just absolutely amazing .
