I drove 2 hours for this and wanted it to be amazing.. The atmosphere and service were incredible.. I could hang out here forever.. the coffee was on par.. not incredible.. the pastries.. not good.. like had to force myself to finish the cinnamon roll and muffin

One word to sum up my experience—disappointed. After being a frequent visitor to other coffee shops in Kent, I thought I may give this one a try. I heard about their new latte buckets for Valentine’s Day, and thought it may be worth a visit. Wrong. The workers are SO rude. I mean absolutely ridiculous. The cashier made it known she did not want to take anybody’s orders, flashing nasty looks and being incredibly short whenever I asked a question. Then, the drinks took a while to receive, only for my drink to not include the foam it’s supposed to have. The barista made up an excuse about it “melting” but then when they put more, it was there for a while (so I have the suspicion this was an excuse). Even if it did melt, the time it takes me to walk from my table to the counter is 30 seconds, the foam should not melt in that amount of time for the price I am paying. The place is also grimy. None of the tables or chairs are wiped down, the floor dirty, seating sparse. Right before my partner and I left, we overheard the baristas loudly speaking about another customer for ordering water. WATER. So uncalled for, and just very telling of the type of establishment this place is. Everyone there needs better training on customer service. Truth be told, when my drink was finally made right, it wasn’t bad. However, the lack of cleanliness, awful service, and overall atmosphere isn’t worth it, and is just driving away customers. I won’t be back.

I love all of their unique coffee and drink combinations! Huge space to hang out or study as well. They have some vegan food options, but I wish they expanded their vegan bakery goods. I got a cappuccino with violet syrup- heavenly. Exactly what I wanted. I also got their vegan breakfast sandwich on the sun dried tomato bagel. The cheese could have been melted better, but that’s always tough with vegan options.

Emma helped me out and was extremely welcoming and kind, and she even gave me a few recommendations when I couldn’t decide on a type of coffee. My drink was amazing as always, and it is a great atmosphere to do work or study. I can’t wait until my next visit!
