At this price point—especially on a big night out—the care and intention just weren’t there. The short rib was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The focaccia itself was good, but the olive oil served with it was noticeably under-seasoned. The caprese salad had large salt flakes that overwhelmed the dish, and the spicy pasta was dominated by bell pepper to the point that it overpowered everything else. I understood the concept, but the balance wasn’t there.
Service and atmosphere felt inconsistent. There were two large, very bright TVs playing sports that cast white light across the dining room, which felt out of place for what’s presented as a classic Italian restaurant—especially on Valentine’s weekend. The music shifted from pop-punk to classical during dinner, adding to the lack of cohesion. Our server couldn’t remember the two specials (short rib and salmon), which was surprising.
I noted in our reservation that this was for my wife’s birthday (not Valentine’s Day), but there was no acknowledgment of it. From the time we sat down, it took about 10 minutes to receive water.
The manager and chef walked the dining room checking on tables, but the interaction felt more obligatory than intentional. More attention to execution in the kitchen might have made a bigger impact than table-side check-ins.
There are intimate, romantic-looking spaces within the restaurant that appear to be part of a private club (offices, golf simulator, speakeasy-style bar). Seeing those spaces while walking through creates an odd contrast and makes the main dining area feel secondary.
I understand how difficult it is to run a restaurant, and I don’t take leaving a critical review lightly. But this was a meaningful night and a significant expense, and the overall experience did not match the expectation. I genuinely hope they improve and would welcome the opportunity for the restaurant to reach out.
Service here was super friendly and surprising fast for it being their first day open. Their pizza and tiramisu were the stand out menu items for us. Their tiramisu was served in a chilled glass cup and was perfectly sweet. You could really taste the coffee without it being too strong or bitter. For the pizza, we got a classic with added pepperoni and ranch on the side. They have a huge wood fire oven behind their bar so we got to watch it being made. It was crispy around the edges with light sauce which is exactly how I like my pizza.
I wish their caesar salad had a little more dressing on it, it was pretty dry and left you wanting something more. The ravioli was delish and buttery, I would love to come back to try their cacio e pepe.
Overall, the restaurant was super cute and not too big. Service was good and food was good. I will come back in a couple months once they settle in a little bit more.
My initial though was that the restaurant had a nice, retro/modern look to it. Good options when it comes to alcohol choices. When it comes to the menu, I’m not sure if they will expand their cocktail menu (since it was opening day) but as of right now there are only 3 choices, plus mocktails and beer. I am not going to judge too hard on the service as opening days can get hectic, i was one of the first few in so the service was fast and then it started to become slower as more people came in. (I will make a note, it was mentioned in couple articles that if you came in for lunch on opening day, you would receive a coupon for a free pizza on future visit, but even after asking about it to my server, I never got one…so is that fake advertisement?) In addition, I also was not able to take home my pizza dips that I paid for because they didn’t have any small containers which was unfortunate.
Food came out pretty quick and it was pretty delicious, just wish the undercarriage of the pizza had more time to cook to get that real fire wood taste, basil was a nice touch.
My favorite dish was the Beef Carpaccio, it had a really good balance of sweet and salty with uniquely crafted chips. In my opinion it is a little bit pricey for what you get, especially if you want add dips and toppings on your pizza.
Excellent service. I stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the meatballs side (served with focaccia and great red sauce) and a San Pellegrino.

First off, the cocktails. They were overly sweet and lacked the balance that a good Italian drink should have. I love a good aperitivo, but these felt more like sugary desserts in a glass than the refreshing start to a meal I was expecting.
As for the food, the dishes arrived lukewarm, which is never a good sign. It’s hard to enjoy pasta when it’s not hot and fresh, and unfortunately, that was the case here. The flavors were bland—nothing popped or felt like it had the depth you’d expect from Italian cuisine. If anything, the dishes felt like they were missing something essential. The sauces were underwhelming, and overall, the food lacked that rich, comforting Italian warmth.
