A truly wonderful experience. Our waitress, Bridget, was a delight. The tableside guac station was fun. Our whole party was thrilled with their food and they handled our one issue superbly well. The pricing was very reasonable with large serving sizes. We are from out of town and I would seriously consider going out of my way to travel here. Great job!

Pic of Fish Tacos (amazing!)

Trece Tequilas in Thornville is a hidden gem! The vibe is on point, and the staff takes customer service to a whole new level – seriously, the nicest crew you’ll meet, specially Jaime and Ade.
We went big and tried a bunch – red pozole, ceviche, Chile relleno, garlic shrimp, guacamole, and esquites… everything was AUTHENTIC, straight from the heart, and PACKED with flavor. Prices are super reasonable, and they don’t skimp on the limes (you know, the secret to a great meal ).
Drinks are solid too.
If you’re craving legit, comforting Mexican food, this is your spot.

Place only opened in August but appears to be successful as it was pretty busy when we stopped in for lunch. Menu is pretty typical for Tex Mex restaurants. We ended up ordering primarily from their combo section.

Chips and salsa were delivered as soon as we sat down as was the waitress to take our drink order. The chips were very thin and so seemed on the greasy side. The salsa was pretty plain as well so we asked for a hot sauce to punch it up and were given a bottle of green El Yucateco.

Our food came and there was plenty of it. Quality was just average though. We were really disappointed in the cheese burrito and the bean burrito. The rice tasted salty and lacked any other flavor.

On the other hand we liked the fajitas and the chile relleno. The question and Pico that came with several of our dishes were good too.

Bottom line: middle of the road kind of place.

If you’re looking for a casual, but fun atmosphere with amazing food, this is the spot!
We were here twice over a couple days and tried several of the delicious entrees and apps. Pictured are the Molcajete, Tower of beer, Enchiladas Tolucas, and Mojarra Frita (with requested spicy sauce and shrimp added). We also tried the margarita flight, fresh guacamole, shrimp dip and quesabirria ramen and tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious, prices were super reasonable and portions were huge! We’ll definitely be back!

We thought the food selection was outstanding. My husband had the Birria Burrito and I had Arroz Con Pollo. Both were out of this world delicious. The portions are huge, quality of food is on point and the service was great! Last but not least, the chips and salsa are amazing. The chips are paper thin and perfect! Definitely will be back.

Give these locals a try. I promise you won’t regret it ☺️

Fantastic meal with a group tonight. Our server was Sara and she was attentive and hilarious. Food came out quick, it was fresh and perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. Can’t get solid Mexican food like this where I’m from so this was a great pick.

Between the table we got shrimp and rice, taquitos, burritos, and a birria pizza. Everything was a good portion.

The owner Lyle was there, introduced himself to our table and we had a great chat. Friendly and generous owner and I’m happy to support great people.

Will absolutely be back when I’m back in Columbus!

Trece Tequilas was an absolutely outstanding place to eat — one of those rare restaurants that leaves a lasting impression long after the meal is over. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sets the tone: warm, lively, and inviting, with just the right mix of upscale charm and authentic Mexican flair. The décor is vibrant without being overdone, and the energy in the room feels contagious. Whether you’re coming for a casual lunch, a family dinner, or a night out with friends, Trece Tequilas makes every visit feel special.

The food is the real star. Every dish bursts with bold, fresh flavors that showcase the quality of the ingredients and the chef’s attention to detail. The fajitas come out sizzling and perfectly seasoned, the tacos are layered with rich, authentic spices, and the guacamole tastes like it was made just moments before it hit the table. The portions are generous, yet every bite feels carefully crafted. Even simple items like rice and beans have that home-cooked flavor that tells you nothing here is an afterthought.

Of course, you can’t go to Trece Tequilas without mentioning the drinks. The tequila selection is massive — one of the best you’ll find anywhere — and the margaritas are balanced to perfection: smooth, strong, and made with fresh lime instead of syrupy mix. The bartenders know their craft and are happy to make personalized recommendations.

What really ties everything together is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about creating a great dining experience. You never feel rushed, and every detail feels thoughtful. Trece Tequilas isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a celebration of great food, good company, and Mexican hospitality done right. It’s the kind of place you can’t wait to come back to.

I don’t think we will be coming back. The best part of the meal was our table side guacamole. From the service to food, it was all disappointing. Our server seemed less than interested in taking care of us. We could see her standing around while we needed things and refills. We saw her less than other people helping run food and drinks. The kids Mac and cheese is Kraft and cost $8. The birria quesadilla tasted like pot roast, lacking flavor.

Good was decent nothing spectacular to speak of. We did get seated promptly even with the amount of business they have for recently opening. Never have I been to a Mexican restaurant and not had hot sauce on the table and when you ask for it they bring you a snack size bowl with about a tablespoon of sauce. The most depressing part of that is the fact that they charged 2 dollars for that small amount in the bill. Now the drinks tasted good but 15 each for well liquor built margaritas is insane. We tried it but will return to the Mexican restaurants we normally frequent where it doesn’t cost 100 dollars for 2 drinks and 2 meals. That’s just an overreach just because you’re new and local to the area can’t validate those prices.
