I made a quick detour through Fairfax — the town at the heart of Killers of the Flower Moon — and ended up having one of the best experiences I’ve had in Oklahoma. Treats Café is a true gem. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, quick to share amazing coffee, fresh cookies, and great conversation about the town’s history.
Their family is deeply involved in preserving Fairfax’s heritage — her sister helps keep the Tallchief Theater and local newspaper alive, continuing a proud local legacy. It’s the kind of place that reminds you how things used to be done: with care, pride, and heart.

What a WONDERFUL stop on my travels. I just happened to notice them as I was driving thru town and am so glad I stopped in. Their espresso was great, and I bought a dozen fresh-baked cookies to bring home to my kids. I spent a good half hour talking with the friendly, knowledgeable owners – absolutely wonderful people. Lots of little Native American gifts available, along with stories and references to the Osage history, etc. Well worth the stop, I can’t wait to go back.
