We stopped in while on a mini road trip and enjoyed lunch, then coffee to go. Limited menu but our choices were delicious – cheeseburger, patty melt, side salads, and a breakfast sandwich. Great service and attentive servers. On our way out, we got coffee drinks to go – a frappe and ice coffees. They have a very extensive coffee menu and it was hard to decide. We will definitely be back when in the area.

Recently came here with family, (Im from out of state) I just got black coffee and it was almost 4$ Im from a big city and I can get high quality coffee for 2$ that doesn’t taste like watered down ass. The lady working was mad she had business? She seems so annoyed to be having to do her job. Living in a small down you would think you have all the time in the world to do a good job.

The food was amazing and really filling. The place felt like home and like you can walk in order what you want sit down and enjoy food conversation, company and overall good people. It’s conveniently located in the heart of downtown Hemingford not far from the High School and supermarket. So it’s a good location for a few different things.

This is the quintessential small town cafe’. Food is very good quality. Front of house service is exceptional! Atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, and your fellow patrons offer genuine smiles and friendly conversation. I really can’t say enough about the service. Frankie is one of a kind. If you are blessed enough to have a cup of coffee and a meal in this place your life will be enriched because of it. My wife and I drive over 1,100 miles to have seat in this establishment and we are never disappointed. If you would like a good cup of coffee and to sit down in a place that feels like it did 60 years ago this is it. This is your one chance do not pass this by.

It seems to me that many reviewers here say things that are not exactly true because of that small village “Don’t ruin our reputation” mindset, and for that people are willing to lie, or at the very least allow themselves to be deceived. That one gets lots of food for the price here is a joke, or else they don’t get out that much to experience what a lot for the money means at restaurants. Many 70 and 80 year old Hemingford elders will quietly confide that you really don’t get that much for what you pay for here. In all fairness, the food IS pretty decent as is their excellent coffee, having eaten breakfast here 4 times, though each time I was disappointed with the amount of food received compared to what it cost. I’ll stick to making my own eggs, taters, and toast at home for a buck.

Back in Hemingford again and we took our youngest Grandson to a birthday breakfast. Food was just as good as last time (see below) and the staff just as friendly. Highly recommend you try this place.
While visiting Nebraska my daughter and I took my Grandson out for a birthday breakfast. The food was great and the service was better. They also sell treats made by local residents. You can also book a photo session with Macee Michelle Photography. Reasonably priced and she responds quickly to messages. Gift certificates are available.

Had the $13 prime rib sub special. Potato salad and watermelon were good, as well as, the service. The prime rib was to salty or seasoned. Three bites in and complained. No offer to substitute for a lower price sandwich. Tried feeding it to my husband, he couldn’t eat it either. Very disappointed.
