Swinging by Greek Peak Mountain Resort today, February 27, 2026, during a winter getaway from the tropics, I hit up Trax Pub & Grill for a post-ski refuel—and it delivered that cozy, slopeside vibe perfectly. Nestled in the main ski lodge off Route 392 in Virgil, about a 30-minute drive from Ithaca, this casual spot is ideal for visitors seeking hearty pub fare amid the Finger Lakes’ snowy landscapes. With temps dipping to around 25°F and fresh powder on the ground, the place was buzzing with skiers unwinding after runs on Greek Peak’s 56 trails.
The atmosphere screams mountain pub: rustic wood accents, a massive 6,000-square-foot deck (though snow-covered today, it must be epic in summer), and views of the lifts whirring by. We grabbed a table inside near the fireplace—warm and welcoming after a chilly morning. Menu highlights include classic comfort foods like burgers, wraps, subs, nachos, and pizzas; I went for the meat lovers pizza, loaded with sausage, pepperoni, and bacon, which was crispy and satisfying. My companion raved about the hot honey wings—spicy-sweet perfection. Craft beer selection is solid, with local brews on tap, and they do a mean brunch on weekends (think yoga & brunch combos, though we missed that). Portions are generous, prices fair (around $15-20 mains), and online ordering with free delivery to Hope Lake Lodge is a nice touch for resort stays.
Service was friendly but a tad slow during the lunch rush—echoing some TripAdvisor gripes—but our server was attentive and shared tips on night skiing. No major waits, and the live music setup hints at fun evenings (Facebook posts mention DJs and bands). Minor con: limited vegetarian options beyond salads.
Overall, a 4.5-star gem for winter visitors—great for fueling up without leaving the resort. If you’re hitting Greek Peak’s slopes or waterpark, make Trax your pit stop; it’s the heart of the action.

I had a meal with coffee and both were good. Liz was super sweet and accommodating. Prices are normal for a resort.

We came to eat in June, so we couldn’t watch skiers coming down the slopes, but the view out the wall of windows showed that this place would be great for that in the winter. It can be a little tough to find, since we didn’t see any outdoor signage, and it’s inside the main building on the second floor.
They have a pretty wide variety of foods and everyone in our party was very happy with what they got. The drinks menu was pretty extensive, and the beer menu changes often enough that they have it linked on a QR code, so make sure you have a device with you if you want a local brew.

Daisy was our server and treated our kids like family! The food was delish and our service (Daisy) was even better. Ask for her and get the nachos if you come here. Fun and relaxed bar/restaurant overlooking the ski mountain. Kid friendly big plus!

The food was good, the fish dinner the wife had was a large portion. The coleslaw I ate from her dinner was absolutely delicious and I am picky about slaw flavor.. I had the Elk burger!! It was good flavor was not gamey at all but I was warned not to get well done .. I asked for Med Rare and got Rare hence the 4 stars not 5 on the food.. the atmosphere was in my opinion showing its age.. but I am sure when packed with skiers that doesn’t matter.. there was a singer tonight Roger Decker was pretty good and helped the atmosphere to be 4 stars vrs 3. I don’t recall the waitress name but she was friendly and good at what she does hence the 5 stars.. there is a chance we will go again… Oh btw not skiers just some locals that were invited and enjoyed.

this review may be a little long, but worth the read. my boyfriend, son and i went skiing tonight, but i’m not a HUGE fan of the cold, and tonight was particularly brisk, with the temp “feeling only like 14F”, so i bailed a little earlier than they did… i went down to trax to wait for them, and sat at the bar. i was immediately greeted by the bar tender, becca. she made me an amazing, strong espresso martini, and later a tall white russian. in between, (they were super busy), another bar (laura) tender helped me, and even got me a plate of fries and a water when she noticed i was getting a bit tipsy on my white russian, l o l!
she was absolutely wonderful as well. it was my first time at trax and i will definitely be back, and highly recommend it to others who choose greek peak for their wintery adventures
laura, becca,
thank you for making my experience an awesome one.

Very nice service, food and atmosphere. It overlooks the ski slope with a stunning view. But they were very busy and slow. There is a nice outside deck with gas fire bar. The inside was clean, considering all the traffic they get. I ordered an Asian rice noodle bowl. It came with an orchid flower garnish. How classy is that!!

The customer service at this pub is absolutely horrendous, ended up waiting over 2 hours for my family’s meal then another 2 for my family’s other side of the order not to mention this is all while our waitress forgot our drinks and never came back to the table she was hard to find all night…so we had to eat our food without any sort of beverage that we already ordered. We were ready to leave and couldn’t find our waitress so we went up front to complain and get our checks, this is when the waitress comes back giving a us attitude about the complaint being extremely rude escalating the situation when we just wanted our check to leave turning the whole ordeal into a huge inconvenience. This matter should be handled by a manager not an entitled waitress that doesn’t know how to handle a complaint. They did discount the food for the horrendous service by the waitress which is good because the food wasn’t even that great for the price and service we received definitely won’t be coming back unless that waitress no longer works for TRAX.

I’ve been sitting here for almost an hour. I just wanted some fries man. That’s all I wanted (cry emoji). My yearning for crispy fries has led me to involuntarily chew on the table settings and this wooden thing on the table with a QR code on it. Now I’ll see how this little paper triangle thing tastes.

Pretty decent table fare for a ski resort. Prices are on the higher side as usual. Service is good even when it gets busy.
