The chicken is not shredded like it says. It is rubbery and odd. Burrito is more American style with tons of shredded cheddar, lettuce, and sour cream. Hot sauce is stingy and flavorless.

IMHO it’s rare to get great Mexican on the east coast, so (saying this as a Californian Mexican food connoisseur) stumbling across this excellent Mexican food truck was an awesome road trip surprise! Delicious tamales, carnitas burrito, guacamole, chips and churros. Added bonus, our super picky 3 year old who (inexplicably) won’t touch Mexican food ravaged their chicken tenders and french fries. This place should have a line out the front at all times but doesn’t…. Try it!

I was pleasantly surprised to see this food truck while driving down route 12. The owner was extremely friendly and when I asked for a recommendation, without hesitation he mentioned the cali burrito. That’s not something readily available around here.
The order was ready quickly, but not too quick if that makes sense. The size was nice and it had great flavor – especially the guacamole. The pieces of steak were pretty small, but it had an appropriate amount of it. It came with green and red/orange salsas on the side. The green was fresh and the red/orange had a nice spice to it. It reminded me more of a burrito from San Diego than Mission.
This is a welcomed addition to Groton. I will definitely be back, and I’m looking forward to trying new things!

This is a great Mexican food truck if you’re used to Mexi Cali, not Tex Mex. They even have California burritos! Although I’d never had one with guac before. I saw that the Norwich location has shrimp on the menu, so I’m crossing my fingers for a Surfing California Burrito (carne asada y camarones) being added to a menu around here.

Decided to try out this place given there’s not many Mexican food options around (I’m from Texas so I know good Mexican food ) unfortunately I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I opened up my order. I bought a quesadilla with little meat inside of it and the cheese had an odd odor to it as well. The quesadilla also had CHEDDAR cheese in, from my understanding quesadillas are only suppose to be made with Monterrey jack… so in my opinion this is not Mexican cuisine at all if you’re using cheddar cheese… To make matters worse, it included an insane amount of sour cream… there was more sour cream than meat and cheese combined.
I was also VERY disappointed in the lack of flavor the salsa had, no spice to it at all either. It only took an hour before my stomach started to hurt from eating the quesadilla.
If you’re looking for great tasting/well seasoned Mexican food, please save yourself the drive & money and look somewhere else.

If someone could tell me the name of the girl who works there, she is beautiful and makes the food incredible.
