This was a great little spot to stop at while traveling through Hedgesville WV. We were exploring the area and were trying to find small local places to go. We ended up getting a cheese steak sub and pulled pork sub. Both were delicious!! Also got a case of birch beer which I rarely see in stores. Ended up talking with the owner in the parking lot for a few minutes. Very friendly small town atmosphere!

Love this little country store, we moved a month ago and just made a special trip out for their subs! I used to stop in everyday going to work or coming home when I lived by there. Their food is always delicious and the staff are friendly! i preferred going in there during the evening because the evening staff are the best! Love their subs! the staff will greet ya like they’ve known ya forever! Its a little on the small side, especially when ya get more than a couple people in there so it can get very cramped pretty quick. But i love this little country store.

A true hidden gem, tucked away off of route 9. I been coming to this small convenient store off and on for around 5 years now, and never have I thought to try the food until today. Being all up and down the west and east coast, I’ve had the opportunity to try many different foods and subs. Who would have thought the best sub I’ve ever had in my life was right under my nose the entire time I lived in West Virginia off and on. To my philly steak and cheese lovers I recommend the sub on: white American cheese and bread, pickles and lettuce, toasted.

Nice small country store. Decent wine and beer selection, and small selection of convenience items. Deli subs are generous and tasty. Staff is friendly and helpful. Roll your own cigarette products and small, but adequate selection of items to partake of other smokable items. Coal by the Ton and propane. Parking is a bit tight, but it’s rarely crounded since it’s generally a quick stop kind of place.

I always enjoy stopping at Travers for my lunch. The staff are always friendly. The store is always clean. Staffing shortages makes it difficult sometimes but, who cares? If they are not open when I’m want to go then I just wait for the next day. Whatever that dude James had to say, don’t ever close up for good.

Best cold Italian Sub I’ve have in awhile. Taste( the bread) was awesome. The dressing perfect. Actually preferred it over Jersey Mike’s, plus price was more economical. I’ll be back for subs.
