Had dinner on Friday evening. The restaurant was nearly empty and quiet. My pulled pork sandwich was okay and the grilled bun was room temperature. The whiskey selection is exhaustive. Dinner was about $30 per person with drinks.

Was looking for some good BBQ. A friend eats here and said the ribs were so so but a good old fashioned and other things so gave it a try. Brisket sandwich was decent. Best part was the Mac and cheese and Baked beans were my favorite. The pulled Chicken had a white sauce I wasn’t sure about but the Texas BBQ sauce made it better. Mexican Street corn was OK but I like lime and chilli pepper in mine. Preferably tajin on it. Mashed potatoes were decent but cold. Would go again with friends and company but probably not first choice on my own.

Met with some new business partners at Traveler’s last night. We had fabulous service from Hannah (if you visit, be sure to ask for her). I had the Bangers and Mash from their standard menu. It was wonderful! Very flavorful and a generous portion. (I don’t have pictures because I was too hungry!)
They have a fun theme throughout the restaurant and have a rotating destination menu. This month is Destination Amish food.
Lots of great food options and if you stop in, be sure to check out the bathrooms! Cheers ✈️

My husband is a big fan of bourbon and BBQ. When looking for a new place to check out, this came on our radar so we thought we’d try it. We each got an appetizer (aka “snack” on their menu), platter entrée, dessert, and drinks from the bar. Between the food we have left and the desert that we got to go – we’ve got dinner tomorrow night, also! Good value for the money!
The crispy cauliflower snack was really delicious. Good brisket, pulled chicken, potato salad, pork belly, and crispy perch. The ribs were sauceless (BBQ sauce proved for dipping) and good. The house BBQ sauce didn’t shy away from having a punchy flavor. The Texas twinkies were okay but really something spicy like that should be paired with a dipping sauce to help quell the heat (or at least offered) instead of paired with their spicy bbq sauce – heat on heat is not sweet IMO but if you are looking for something like that (brisket stuffed jalapeño wrapped in bacon) then there’s your snack! The bourbon selection is good and the drinks were made well.
The outdoor seating area was not open yet (except to non-alcohol customers) but is in the process of getting alcohol license for that area. It looks like it will be a nice place when the weather calls for it. The interior was bigger than it seems, clean, and nice. It is all tables and chairs – no booths that I could see. We arrived for an early Friday dinner (around 4pm) and they were not very busy at all. Our wait staff person seemed like she was really busy, a little flustered, but she had only 3 tables and not more than 2 people at each table. She may have been having a rough day – she was friendly and helpful but also a bit forgetful. She still got a full tip (over 20%). This is a place that we would be happy to visit again and to bring friends/family to check out.

Great atmosphere, felt welcomed. They just reopened last week. Everything was delicious, I guess the one thing I could say that was negative is the pricing. I ordered a margarita and it came in a 4oz glass and cost $8. I think it should definitely come in an 8oz glass for that price. Just saying….will definitely come back again just not for margaritas.

First visit. Both my husband and I very much enjoyed our meals and the service was great! I got the Spaghetti Carbonara with the seasonal asparagus, which was the daily special. Best prepared asparagus I’ve ever had! My husband has been wanting to try some poutine, and he very much liked Travelers version (with the optional eggs on top). We will definitely be back as the menu has many more options that we’d like to try.

Was in town for work and stopped in for the BBQ and whiskey bar. Was not disappointed on either with the platter have healthy portions. The brisket was far and away the best option and would highly recommend. Sitting at the bar had a good conversation with Noah (bartender) and some friendly locals. Bourbon selection was very good with some allocated options and lots to choose from. Very reasonable prices for both the food and spirits. I will be returning next time I am in the area for sure!

I arrived to the airport way to early and didn’t have a vehicle, but Travelers Cafe and Pub was an easy 6 minute walk away. I was greeted promptly, sat in a clean, bright and open dining room and given fast and friendly service. My grilled Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries was fresh, hot and delicious. They have a great variety on their menu. I’ll be stopping here again, on my way back to K-Zoo!
