Incredibly cute, eclectic Italian restaurant. At first, I was nervous about some of the lower reviews. My husband and I ate here this evening and could not speak more highly of it. From the complimentary bruschetta they started our meal with to the tiramisu at the end of the night; all perfection.

The restaurant does have a food menu, but I would just listen to the owner as he reads the night’s menu to you personally. There is no drink menu; the owner asks what you want and he has it. I wish we lived in the area so we could dine again.

Oh, and they grow their own fresh basil in the back

The old Italian man running the operation made us all uncomfortable and even began smoking inside. Dont come here if you only have an hour for lunch, you will be there waiting for over two hours and don’t even think about ordering a latte. The owner will make fun of you and make you feel awful about it. It’s a shame this place stinks bc the food is so good!

Owner is authentically Italian to a fault. It’s one guy running the show, and if you slight him in some unintentional way, you will have a notably worse service. Towards the end of our meal the owner started smoking a cigar inside and ignoring our table to speak to his regulars! Shame because the meal was delicious

Me and my wife celebrated my 77th birthday tonight at Trattoria Toscana. I have always been critical of fake Italian restaurants like Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill. I wanted to eat authentic Italian Cuisine. Trattoria delivered. The Antipasto Misto for 2 set the stage. It had all of the classic Antipasto elements of meat, cheese, olives, anchovies, and tomatoes. It was better than I had hoped for (see photo)
We skipped the pasta (primi) and went straight to the main course (Secondi) . The strip steak was cooked to perfection and potatoes, squash and sautéed spinach were excellent. My wife had the chicken Francese. She said that this was also excellent. We finished the meal off with the almond cake and cappuccino. The dessert was fantastic.
This is a family run authentic Italian restaurant. If you have only eaten in chain restaurants you may have to remember that these people are serving you in what they feel is their home. It is a different experience. One that I am looking forward to repeating.

I selected Trattoria Toscana based on google reviews. Arrived with a reservation for a table of 9 people. The entire restaurant was served by a single server, who I assume was the owner. Great food, decent service, and fantastic dessert. I would recommend giving it a try.

Ordered 2 dinners, one Bloomfield Chicken and a Chicken Marsala and both were horrible. Bill was $62.00 and we pretty much threw it out. I have been going there for years, never again and someone was smoking in the kitchen, that’s nasty. Sorry to say that I will never go back.

I hate to leave this review but I have no choice. We had dinner here recently, everything was going well and we were enjoying ourselves until the elderly gentleman (whom I presume is the owner) lit up a cigarette inside the restaurant!! We were the only customers left and had a toddler and a 3 month old baby with us. During our meal, I suddenly began to smell smoke and turned around to see the owner sitting at a table across the dining room smoking a cigarette. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. He saw us staring but obviously didn’t care because he lit up another cigarette after he finished the first one. I grabbed our infant and walked down the hall toward the exit and asked my partner to ask for the check. We couldn’t even finish our meal. Since when is smoking allowed inside a restaurant? There are other reviews that mention the staff smokes inside the restaurant and that the place smells like smoke. Absolutely horrible and inconsiderate of the owner to do this in front of a baby. He probably wanted us to leave but he could’ve just asked us to do so instead of doing what he did. The food is good but the owner seems terrible, avoid this place especially if you have kids.

We came here for dinner after the Polar Express train ride. We walked in at 7pm on a Thursday and the restaurant was empty aside from the owner sitting at a table in the corner. Then the owner proceeded to CHAIN SMOKE IN THE DINING ROOM OUR ENTIRE MEAL. WITH MY THREE YEAR OLD AND ONE YEAR OLD IN THE RESTAURANT. If it wasn’t raining, I didn’t have two hungry kids and my in laws and an hour drive back to the hotel we would have left. Absolutely disgusting, this place needs to be shut down. It’s a shame because the food was actually very good.
