Trattoria Sofia offers authentic, rustic Italian food in an intimate, romantic setting. Named after the Houston-based restaurateur’s firstborn daughter, Benjamin Berg plans to create Houston’s most whimsical dining room and patio, reminiscent of a lost garden.
Informal Italian dining in a country-style setting with wood ceilings, brick walls & plants.

My fiancé and I went here for valentines day we had a reservation and we were seated pretty quickly. The food was so so good and fresh. The cocktails were so yummy and well rounded in flavor. We will definitely be back!

Loved the entire experience here! From the time you walk in until departure the service is amazing. The food is exquisite with a fine dining atmosphere great place for a date or small intimate family dinner. The libations show class, creativity and tasteful. All pasta’s are made in house making this an elevated experience.

This is my favorite restaurant in Houston! I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s been great service and vibe every time. Specifically last night I went to celebrate my anniversary and they included a hand made card on the table and complimentary dessert that was so good! Our server Abby was very attentive, 10/10 customer service skills. The chicken parmigiana is always amazing every time I come and i absolutely love the atmosphere. I adore this restaurant and appreciate their thoughtfulness! <3

This was my first visit to Trattoria Sofia. There was a decent selection of wine and the chicken parmigiano was pretty good. The space is very cozy which can get a little tight at busy times. We had a good waiter and overall very good service. I would recommend this restaurant to others and will definitely go back to try other dishes.

rattoria Sofia hosted the Houston Concierge Association for our October meeting, and everything was incredible! GM Jessica Wells leads her team like a well-oiled machine. The ambience is off the charts, and the service was flawless.
I started with the bread service—fresh ciabatta al latte and sesame semolina with EVOO and smoked paprika aioli—amazing! The Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful, and the Heritage Chicken Parmesan was one of the best I’ve ever had. I finished with Amaretto Cherry Gelato topped with shaved almonds—absolutely divine.
Highly recommend for gatherings, business dinners, or date nights. A true Houston gem!

First time there. Went to celebrate my birthday this weekend. Had a party of 8 and we were seated on the terrace. Atmosphere was nice and cozy. It was a bit loud but still able to hear and have conversations.
Food was great. Big fan of the Chicken Parmesan and the Vodka Pasta!! Good wine selection and yummy Espresso Martinis! Served was great.
Convenient valet parking for only $6, which I highly recommend because street parking around the area can be limited. And we did see a couple of tow trucks.
Only downside of the night was feeling rushed towards the end of dinner because they had another reservation waiting for the table, which is understandable, however we did not know this. We just had someone come over to the table and basically tell us that we had to get going, which made us feel like we did something wrong. In their defense, we were there for a long time catching up while enjoying the vibes and drinks.
Overall, still a good experience and will most likely return.

This was our first time here and it was wonderful. The service was on point and the food was great! They were busy but we did not feel rushed and the server Uli provided excellent service. We had the Fried Arancini to start, Rigatoni Alla Vodka for our main, and Classic Tiramisu for dessert.

This place turned out to be perfect for a relaxed date night. We visited midweek and loved how calm and inviting everything felt. The atmosphere was cozy without being crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It is definitely a spot I would be happy to return to and recommend to others.

We tried this spot recently and had a mixed experience. My friend ordered the whipped ricotta appetizer, which was tasty but definitely needed more bread—it felt a little skimpy. I had the Caesar salad, but it was lacking in flavor. The pasta dishes we tried were both good, though they could’ve been served hotter and came out a bit slow. Honestly, the timing was an issue across the whole meal—every course took longer than expected. Dessert (the Italian version of flan) was delicious and a nice way to end the meal. Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive, but overall the pacing of the food took away from the experience.

Absolutely was flooding last night . We were held up in the street trying to turn in to the valet for 5 minutes and then the attendant came up and said they didn’t get the key from a patron and basically half the parking was shut down . Our only option was to park next door in a flooded muddy pay to park lot where my partner and I tried to self pay while getting soaked and I mean drenched . Couldn’t pay because the phone touch screen wouldn’t work because of the water on it .
Hiked through the mud to get to the restaurant .
Got inside , ridiculously loud . Coco our server was great , the chicken Marsala was ok my partner liked the lamb shank .
So it was not an enjoyable meal , cold wet and over priced for the quality of food .
My reviews have been very positive for places we visit but they I truly won’t wast 450.00 plus tip at this establishment again . Lots of great Italian restaurants to eat at in Houston but this one missed the mark
