This was such an amazing find! The restaurant itself is a beautiful structure on the water, overlooking the sunset. The service was impeccable and very efficient. The homemade bread that started our dinner was probably the best I have ever had! Great wine and drink selection. I ordered the pasta primavera which was cooked al dente, to perfection . My partner had pollo parmigiana which was outstanding. We shared the house- made tiramisu which was also incredible!
To top-off our dinner, we had a visit from an enormous crocodile who floated around our gazebo as we dined. It was truly an unforgettable evening!

We had a fabulous Sunday evening meal at Limoncello’s. Located right on the waterfront and Service was on point and outstanding, menu had many options, and the food, oh the food was just perfect and made a welcome change from the all inclusive hotel food options.
We forget our servers names (sorry) but the guys were brilliant and clearly had been professionally trained.
Mozzarella and tomatoes and calamari rings for starters. For mails we had mixed seafood risotto with squid ink and it was intensely flavourful while my partner had the lobster risotto, again beautifully prepared and tasted so good.
The shared tiramisu for desert finished us off and again was perfect.
While it wasn’t a cheap meal, it was totally worth the visit. Food was outstanding, ambience perfect and there was also a pianist and service was brilliant.
We will definitely be visiting Limoncello’s again if we come back to Cancún

I am genuinely shocked. For the first time ever, I was forced to leave a specific amount of tip, even though we were never informed that tipping (never mind a specific amount) was mandatory. We have tipped the waiter halfway through and again when we were about to leave, we chose to leave what we felt was appropriate. The waiter looked at it, said it was too low, and insisted we leave 450 pesos of a tip instead, which I think represented 15% of our bill. That is not a tip, that is being pressured into paying extra. Completely unacceptable.
The service itself did not justify anything close to that amount. Although the place looks neat from the outside, the service was extremely slow. We ordered potato wedges, but they arrived only after we had finished all our food, and only because we reminded the waiter. When they finally came, we received just 5 pieces for 200 pesos.
The Caesar salad for 260 pesos consisted of six leaves of lettuce. That’s not an exaggeration.
Between the poor value, slow service, and being pressured into leaving a specific tip amount, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not return, and I strongly caution others to be aware of this practice before dining here.

Absolutely excellent Italian food! I very much recommend the tableside Caesar salad. We had a large group of diners in our dinner party, and the service was friendly and excellent. A decent selection of wines from Italy were appreciated. Combined with a beautiful open-air view of the water, this is one of my favorite restaurants along the hotel zone. Salud!

Last night, we called and made a phone reservation for 1 pm today (Friday). I confirmed several times on the phone …with the hostess.. that the time would be 1 p.m. Daughter and I walked the 15 minutes from our AirBnb to the restaurant only to find the door locked and the place closed. Waited and confirmed it was not open. Sign out front says open at 1 pm Monday thru Sunday. Very disappointed as this was our last day in Cancun and we wanted to treat ourselves to some fancy food. They lost out!! We were going to drop some $$$ money here. Oh well, walked next door to Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant, and had an enjoyable meal!

I always review Limoncello as a wonderful Italian restaurant in Cancun but our experience this trip was far from wonderful, we were seated right away and then forgotten our waiter was more interested in the couple that was seated after us and wanted a dry martini put the vermouth in the glass spin it around dump it out and then add the very chilled vodka as we do not drink I should not know what he wanted, then when he finally came to take our order, we ordered calamari , 2 orders of chicken parm, 2 salads when the calamari was delivered to our table along with 1 salad, I explained that we ordered 2 salads we then had to wait yet again for the second salad calamari was reheated and dried out, then finally our meal arrives and yet again it was 1 dinner for us to share, that was the straw that broke the camels back I asked for this meal to be packed up and for the bill. The manager offered nothing to correct the issue. I will not give this establishment a great review as this was by far the worst experience we have had here and to have management do nothing to rectify this very poor service was a slap in the face.

We walked in to have a drink and experience the place, we were just walking around exploring the area and from the outside it looked fabulous. Granted, we weren’t wearing fancy clothes, we were doing our evening walk, but we were decent. As we walked in, the hostess told us there was an hour and a half wait – at 9pm when the restaurant closes at 11pm. The restaurant had a total of 6 full tables exactly, we counted – some of them were already at dessert. Servers were standing around, and 70% of tables were empty in the whole restaurant. YET 1.5 hr wait? Seems like a typical case of poor profiling. Same evening, the greek restaurant ILIOS had no problem accepting us as we were and accommodating us. Go there instead.

Very good Italian restaurant. The food is so delicious, waiters are friendly and for some dishes you get even show cooking. The view over Nichupte lagoon is amazing. We saw a baby croc with its mother. All in all it’s an amazing restaurant. But the prices are quite high.
One negative point: For me it’s rude to ask for you 15% tip and calculate the exact amount on the receipt.
