My family and I loooved this place. The server was nice and kind, we spoke a bit of Spanish and Italian during the meal which was fun (to me at least). Bread was warm and delicious, salad was good too, and the main dishes were amazing. We got the lasagna, the spaghetti frutti di mare, and ossobuco pasta. Everything was 1000/10, but our favorite was definitely the spaghetti frutti di mare. Again, the gentleman who took care of us was sooo nice, grazie mille!! Our favorite restaurant in Montreal so far

Been here on many occasions and had very good experiences. This time was awful that I felt like a very famous chef when he criticizes restaurant food. Ordered a dish of lobster risotto and they bring me a plate of rice that looked like minute made rice. And to charge 60$ for that is unacceptable. Unfortunately I won’t be eating here anymore.

Excellent food and service. We were treated like a family. They have a live one man band which is very cool. Lots of parking right in front if you get there before 7. The area gets really busy later in the day. Specially on weekends. Will go there again.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary at Restaurant Gallo Nero, and it was fantastic!! The ambiance was perfect for our special night, and the staff went above and beyond with their warm, attentive service. The food was superb, with standout dishes that showcased authentic Italian flavors. Highly recommend for a special occasion!

I’ll start with the pros.
Good food, polite and friendly staff, and the single person washrooms are clean with modern touchless soap and paper dispensers. There’s live music but with a catch.
Which brings me to my cons. The live music is incredibly loud. You’re not gonna be able to have a casual conversation here without having to yell. But if you’re a lively person and live for that, you may not mind. The service, albeit professional and courteous, was quite slow. But they were a full house when we went. And even at that, the food didn’t seem to suffer.
We’d be more than happy to come back and try something new on the menu.

Excellent food, friendly staff and awesome owner. Organized a 25th anniversary surprise party for my in-laws and it was amazing. Will definitely go back and recommend it for all your needs. Authentic Italian cuisine and it was very tasty. Thanks Tony for the great time we all had !
