The featured cocktail menu was so creative that it was hard to choose just one. We decided to start with a few appetizers for the table, and both the wedge salad and the croquettes were outstanding. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
For entrées, the gnocchi was the star of the evening. Light, fluffy, and full of rich flavor, it quickly became a favorite at our table. The fettuccine was another hit—vibrant, delicious, and bursting with flavor.
To finish the meal, we couldn’t resist the pistachio cake, and it did not disappoint. Moist, decadent, and beautifully presented, it was the perfect ending to a wonderful evening.
Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. This spot is a must-visit in Old Town!
Made A reservation for Valentine’s Day on OpenTable in December. Got a confirmation email on January 31 from OpenTable to “ Let the restaurant now if we’ll be able to make it.” Drove out of town for two hours and get there And the restaurant is closed for renovations . Spent extra money on extra Ubers to see if we could find another place. How irresponsible to not close down the reservations if they are going to be shut down especially for a holiday that probably has the highest reservation dates out of the year.
Upon entering, I was impressed by the thoughtful decor and the greeting. The hostess was friendly, and I enjoyed sitting at the bar with water while waiting for my takeout. Although the food took a little while, I didn’t mind.
However, my experience took a turn when I felt a stinging & burning sensation on my leg while walking to my rental car. I thought it was a bug but discovered it was sauce leaking from the bag. The corner had broken, which allowed the sauce to coat my purse, leg, foot, clothes, etc. Since the bag was soaked, I returned to the restaurant because I could not put that in the rental car.
Without getting into details, I felt the owner missed an opportunity to show genuine contrition & to make a customer feel that their poor experience could be improved by making it right. I believe that damaging my outfit and purse warranted a refund and a remake of my food. While I did not raise my voice, my tone reflected my frustration.
Perhaps I seem entitled, but this wasn’t a minor error. Regardless of the cause, the right approach would have been to prioritize customer satisfaction to encourage return visits and positive reviews. Instead, I left with a bad taste in my mouth from how I was treated.
The ambiance was cozy and the staff was welcoming, though service was a bit slow at times. Still, it’s a solid spot for a quality Italian meal. Would definitely recommend and return!
