We wandered past and the aromas from the restaurant were fabulous and the selection of meat cuts on display showed they really care about food! This showed throughout the meal with friendly attentive service.

The menu has a massive selection to cover off all tastes and the helpings were a great size.

It was also great to have a selection of wines by the glass.

All in all, a little gem with good food at a good price with great people. What else can you ask for.

My favourite place to eat in all of Italy. My favourite dish is the Filet with Brandy Gorgonzola and walnut sauce. It is so good. I know in Florence it’s a sin to put anything on your steak but you have this and like me you will make excuses to make it back to Florence. Great venue and wonderful friendly service.

We came here for a nice dinner at night. The pasta was amazing, drinks cheap, and staff friendly and warm. We got a free shot which was AWESOME!! I couldn’t recommend this place more!!

I ordered the dry aged rib eye steak and it’s amazing!!! I would say it could be ranked as top 3 of my favorite steak as it still has a bit of the bone, and the crispy rim of fat, with the juicy steak… man it’s heaven.

Highly recommend, especially if you could visit on a non rainy day, the outdoor view could’ve been great. Today it’s a bit drizzled and yet the sunset pinky sky still was very pretty.

My friends and I were looking for a nice place to sit down and eat while traveling. We happened to stumble upon this restaurant and it ended up being a great decision. We had so much fun and the staff was so sweet. Definitely eating here again!

Fantastic restaurant with great steaks and service. Dry aged ribeye and tenderloin (filet mignon) were both cooked perfectly. The prices are much lower then what you’d pay in the US. Owner walked around to all of the tables making sure everything was perfect. A great choice if you need a break from pasta and pizza.

It’s started to rain before I went to the Boboli gardens so I ducked into this restaurant. I had the bruschetta to start which was what I had been craving. There’s a way to do it right, and they get it here! Note that Tuscan bread isn’t salted so if you like it that way, be prepared to salt it. Then I had the fresh tagliatelle with truffles. I thought since we are in the end of September the truffles would be fresh but I could tell they weren’t. There was also a lot of cream in the dish (perhaps truffle cream) so I was disappointed that it was so rich. But I guess maybe tourists like that? That was the only downside, however it tasted really good (just heavy) and the pasta was fresh! For dessert I had the cantucci and vin santo- where you dip the cookie in the dessert wine. I ate it all it was so delicious! And I liked that the cookies were half the size of normal but they had more- perfect for sharing.
The service was impeccable!! I tried my best to speak Italian and my waiter was very patient with me. At one point I said “thank you for me” on accident and then immediately apologized. He said I was doing good! How nice was that? He seemed to really want to know if I liked each dish and was genuinely happy when I said I was pleased with the meal.
Typically restaurants aren’t the best by attractions, but I would go back to this one. I was noticing some of the bistecca coming out of the kitchen and it looked delicious!

The food is okay if you’re in the area, not good nor bad. But what I didn’t appreciate is the waiters coming to your table to ask for a review on Google and not leaving until they see you post a good review… this might explain the inflated score for this restaurant

Food was average, not bad. My husband and I aim to be friendly and respectful when visiting other countries, so to be ignored and met with annoyance by the waitstaff was a bummer! €6.50 for a bottle of coke, defo tourist trappy vibes

Disappointing Pasta Experience at Trattoria de’ Pitti

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but this meal missed the mark. The pasta lacked depth and freshness—honestly, we’ve made better at home, and we’re not even Italian.

Trattoria de’ Pitti has a charming location right near Palazzo Pitti, and the ambiance is inviting. But unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the setting. It’s possible pasta just isn’t their strength, but for a Tuscan restaurant in Florence, expectations are naturally higher.

If you’re seeking a satisfying, authentic pasta experience, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of spots in Florence that deliver on both flavor and tradition.
