So yummy! All the food tasted so fresh and delicious! The rolls are really large too. I tried the Volcano and the Trump rolls. I also tried the teriyaki salmon and miso soup! The staff was friendly and outgoing. I also heard that they have all you can eat Rolls made fresh for you but you have to sit up at the bar. The bar area was small so you may have to wait a little bit, but definitely worth it! I will absolutely be back again!

Went to the Covington location for dinner, saw the food safety sign, currently is “OK.” We were already little skeptical because they serve raw fish. Sat down inside, there was soggy/muddy smell. We ordered three rolls, and one of them with the raw scallops, only me and they other girl ate it, but she ate the most of those scallops. Also we found a hair on the side of the plate. Since it was on the side I just used tissue to clean it . I started to feel nauseated soon after we finished eating but the girl who ate the most scallops got really sick that night. Will not go back.

Doesn’t matter what you offer now, don’t waste my time to send email to whoever. The place is nasty, the food was not good at all. We also went to tukwila location and the food was cold and didn’t taste good either. Took them forever probably because the food was just sitting on their counter and the server forgot to bring it. Their manager was just watching tv instead of helping.

Fantastic experience! Anatolie and the staff were amazing, the all-you-can-eat sushi at the bar was top-tier, and the atmosphere made for great conversation. Highly recommend coming hungry and asking for their suggestions!

Christian was flat out the best chef I’ve ever dealt with. He is very, very polite and respectful. This is my first time having sushi and it won’t be my last. He made my experience One of a kind. I love this place

Food is great. Service is pretty slow, especially during dinner time & weekends. Both pickup and dining in I had to wait for a while before being able to pick up / get seated. Prices are not too bad for a Sushi Restaraunt, but can get pricey so choose wisely!

The location is pretty small, which probably results in the extended wait time & service times. Staff was respectful & nice but seemed very busy.

Update: we came back today for lunch on 11/8/25 and, coincidently, we had the same server, she was on her A-game!

Previous review:
3pm on Saturday and 1 server trying to host and serve customers. Server forgot the cucumber salad and figured she could remove from the bill. Which we did of course. The jalapeño poppers were served ice cold. Was never asked if we needed anything else after our food was brought to the table. So we ran out of ginger and wasabe. The sushi roles were fantastic!!!

Definitely avoid on a Friday night! Knowing that wait times for takeout can be extended on a Friday, we made our order from home expecting to wait. Although the confirmation email quoted 35 mins, we showed up 45 mins after ordering. One hostess looked around for our order, went to the kitchen to check and said it would be 7 minutes. 30 minutes later (and an hour after our order was placed) we still didn’t have our food. The second hostess, Joey, worked really hard to help us but couldn’t go back and make the food so I just had to wait. She offered a beverage while we waited. I asked to speak to a manager who proceeded to wait over 15 minutes before coming to talk to me and then said she had no control over the kitchen. She did provide me a discount but couldn’t really explain what was wrong. And also indicated the kitchen manager was unavailable to talk as he was working too. I felt so bad for the hostesses who were doing their best. Other people kept coming in and picking up orders but for some reason ours still weren’t ready. After nearly an hour and a half from ordering, we were finally given our order. Got home and found out a Magnificent roll was missing. The food is so good but they need better estimates on wait times, better order checking and more chefs on a busy night! And managers need to be able to handle the difficult conversations with frustrated customers, don’t throw each other under the bus and take care of your hosting/wait staff.

I didn’t realize this was a local chain but the food was excellent! We did the all you can eat and sat at the counter with the chief. We could pick off the list ( which was pretty big) and he would make it right then. I had about 6 different kinds and they all were great. I also had seaweed salad, edamame, and miso soup with it. It’s a great deal

I went to Trapper’s Sushi in Covington yesterday. I usually don’t go to places with ratings below 4.5, but there aren’t many good restaurants nearby, so I went to this one with a 4.3 rating.
The staff was friendly, and the place was a little crowded for a Thursday. It smelled nice inside, so we decided to stay and order.
The miso soup came quickly. It cost $4, which is standard for places like this. But the soup was mostly water with a little miso paste, two small tofu pieces, one seaweed leaf, and lots of green onion. It was a bit of a letdown.
We waited more than 30 minutes for our main food. What was really frustrating was that people who came after us already ate and left. The place was getting less crowded, but our food was not here yet.
When the sushi came, the rice was too salty and kept falling apart. It was hard to eat with chopsticks. The most expensive roll we ordered, about $23, was falling apart the most. That was very upsetting.
The prices were standard, and we paid over $60 for two people, including a small discount for the wait. Maybe it was a bad day for them, but the experience was not what I expected. I won’t go back.

Stopped in today for the all you can eat with sushi chef James!
He made me two fantastic rolls and filled me quicker than I anticipated. Thank you so much chef!

My first time at the Covington location. I came solo today for happy hour. Arrived just after they started and the place was about 70% full. I got a a seat at the almost full counter top right away.
My house hot sake came quickly and service began immediately.

Mathew was my sushi chef today! He let me know it was his third week, that he’s been working for trappers but he’s been with another sushi restaurant for awhile and wow he’s got some skill! Every plate was beautiful and tasted amazing! Trappers you should count yourself lucky for having this guy on your team!
Dragon roll: 5/5 warm toast on the eel sets this one off!
Monster: 5/5 what can I say, I’m a sucker for eel
Volcano: 5/5 spicy and creamy, nice crunch and presentation.

Mason made my last one for me, the
captain crunch roll: 5/5 light and on the sweeter side.

Definitely would come back to this location any time!
