We decided to visit the restaurant after taking a break for about a year. We learned they had a new menu with a variety of new options.
We had the new items: Soft Shell crab, Nigiri Boat, Inari Bombs, Hoke Poke roll, Karaage Chicken & a couple O.G items like the Samantha and Marvelous roll. Everything was amazing. Super fresh and tasty. We went back the next day for four lunch. We highly recommend visiting or ordering Trappers Sushi and trying their new menu items. You won’t be disappointed.
The Service also great. The Manager stopped by to make check on us. They seem to get the food out quicker than I remember.

Sushi is fresh. I’ve been here several times (for lunch all-you-can-eat sushi). I’ve never been disappointed. The chef’s are great – good personalities, serve quickly, tasty food. The servers are generally quick and close. Overall, a relaxing and yummy experience.

I can’t believe it! So gross. We ordered through door dash and I received a very old sushi roll. It had avocado in it and I can’t even tell if it’s avocado because it’s so brown. The rice is dry and old. I have ordered this before many times and have never seen anything like it. The scallops on top are not as many as usual.
The store offered to remake it but I would have to pick it up. There was nothing else they can do and I have to try to get a refund from door dash.
Dinner is ruined.

Time and time again, this sushi restaurant delivers an exceptional experience, and Chef Ramon is a huge part of that. His service is consistently excellent – he’s always friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond. We’re always impressed that he remembers our preferences! Most importantly, the quality of the sushi never wavers; it always tastes incredibly fresh and delicious. If you appreciate consistent quality and personalized service, this is the place to be.

Me and my boyfriend had an absolutely wonderful time eating here. Since I’m visiting from Texas he wanted to treat me to some sushi and we loved it! Chef Chris was an absolute pleasure to chat with and every roll he made was incredible. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, felt like a nice hang out with your friends. The waiters were also extremely friendly and welcoming to newcomers trying out Trappers.
I will definitely be coming again next time I take a trip to Washington! Couldn’t have asked for a better sushi experience.

I absolutely love this Trappers location! Firstly, the waitresses are very attentive in making sure you are getting what you need, very proficient and professional. You get what you pay for and I absolutely believe the pricing for the portion you get is definitely worth your money. My husband and I love doing the all you can eat and the employees working behind, making the sushi rolls also work proficient and got those orders out quickly. I cant recommend this place enough.

Where do I begin.. We love Trappers so this experience is very disheartening. We visited this location on Saturday night 1/17/2025 at 7:30pm. To start out our server was clearly on drugs. Her mannerisms and body language were crazy and all over the place. We ordered 3 appetizers and 3 rolls/ a chicken teriyaki plate to start. The 3 appetizers never made it to the table. The server never noticed.. When the entrees came out I ordered the Trapper roll. The scallops on top were foul tasting. I’ve gotten this roll a dozen times. This roll smelled and tasted extremely fishy and borderline rotten. Our server kept disappearing so it took forever to let her know. I ordered a different roll which was ok. Everyone at the table wanted more rolls but our server was gone!! We were constantly waiting or needing something and she was always mia! We were one of 3 tables in the lounge area.. We ended up cashing out finally instead of ordering the rest of the food we wanted. Had to have all the appetizers taken off the bill (she never noticed they didn’t come out) and we left to eat at a different restaurant. This server should not be on the clock serving tables in this kind of shape. She was clearly not sober 🙁 This was hands down the worst dining experience we’ve ever had.

First time having sushi at Trappers Federal Way. I called in my order right at 11:00am when they opened for 4 sushi rolls. The person that took my order
Said it would be ready in about 20 minutes and read my order back to me and gave me my total. I arrived and someone immediately greeted me and was getting my order put together. As I was waiting two additional workers greeted me and asked if I needed any assistance. She brought me my order and away I went. The sushi was very delicious. All four rolls had an amazing appearance and the flavor was great! Trappers did an amazing job on the food and their staff is extremely professional.
