Stopped in while visiting Memphis. Ordered catfish and grits, zucchini and squash. Catfish was perfect. Grits were a little too grainy for my liking but had good flavor. Sauce was excellent. The squash and zucchini were seasoned well and cooked just right. 7/10

In my past dealings with this business, I’ve had nothing but rave reviews about everything from the service to the food but the way I have been swindled, cheated, and ripped off today, November 8th, 2025, I may never step foot in any of their establishments ever again and I wouldn’t advise any other hardworking citizen to patronize them either.. I ordered the Boss Mane Pasta which is supposed to be a lobster and crawfish fettuccine Alfredo topped with 6 jumbo shrimp, salmon filet, and lobster tail.. After waiting patiently for my meal, I presented a plate that I know this meal doesn’t supposed to be served in because they were “out of” the right plates.. Then the meal is only a portion of what is normally served for this meal and it’s missing the lobster and crawfish from the fettuccine Alfredo, the shrimp were not jumbo, and there was no lobster tail, instead they added more salmon.. I paid $50 for this meal and I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with everything about this situation.. I’m quite sure Markeith and Marissa are not training their employees to conduct business in this manner.. Signed by what used to be an avid supporter..

Food was Delicious. I had catfish with a side of spaghetti. Fish fried just right (not undercooked and soft). My daughter had the oxtails. I tasted them, and they were seasoned to perfection and Moist. The atmosphere displayed unique African American artworks. They were so unique that I took pictures. Customer service was great. The wings with hoodsauce were great. The Memphis Style Street corn was awesome. The pasta dishes my friends got looked and smelled amazing.
Service was great, decor was a blast.

We flew into Memphis and needed to get something to eat. This place didn’t let us down. Food was on point. The sweet potato fries were not the best but everything else we ordered was flavorful and well-cooked. We had the Fried Pirkles (no kidding, best we’ve ever had!!), Fried Catfish, 2 Beef Patties, and Jerk Chicken Alfredo Pasta. My only true complaint is they didn’t have tartar sauce but hot sauce worked fine.

Okay. Always brutally honest in the comments. Get off your phone as soon as a customer darkens the door and stay off of it until all the customers leave. There was some straightening, wiping, dusting and floor polishing you could be doing. Secondly, too much food on the menu. No one cooks that many dishes well. The salmon was okay. A little more done than I like it. Red velvet cake was just red cake. You cannot take a vanilla box cake and make it red velvet. That’s laziness. And cake was dry. There were 4 different kinds of cakes and desserts for expediency. Will those cakes go in the garbage. Yall close at 9. Maybe a homeless shelter. Just eliminate that cost. Best wishes. Also, clean up over there. Throw stuff away.

The fried catfish and sweet potato fries were really good, and the berry juice made my friend and I say “oooo that’s good” at the same time lol. They were able to accommodate our dietary restrictions too. Chef Jason and everyone at Trap Fusion were very friendly and welcoming; it felt like eating at a family member’s house.

Absolutely spectacular food. Between our group we had the Jerk Chicken, Peas, and Rice; the Bang Skrimpz; D’Nawlin Jambalaya Pasta, 3 Trap Wings, and Vegan Skinny Pimp dog.

Highly Recommended. Great staff, and the food just what we needed after a long day.
