Excellent local micro brewery and delicious taco-themed menu! They used to have another cafe here, but now it’s all the taco based menu. We had the nachos and a ground beef quesadilla and a side of chips and beer cheese dip. Everything was excellent! They have a dog friendly patio, but only service dogs inside. Order at the bar and they will text you when the food is ready. They have their beer available for take out, and they have a great selection to cover all tastes, as long as you like beer or cider. Very hip and chill atmosphere and friendly service.

I have few friends in the KC and one of my few friends lives in Grandview. This will be our hangout spot! I stopped in a few days ago and the bartender was super cool. I tried the ‘tippin stout’ and it was so great a bought a few to take home. Had the pork burrito as well; great! I’m a fan!!

The beer, staff, and atmosphere are five star. The food is good, and they offer live music, and a comedy night. Transparent Brewery is involved with the community, holding fundraisers with a variety of events. They now offer a large space for events. The beer pairing dinner this weekend was a fundraiser for the local elementary school reading program. The food was amazing and it was fun to taste the beer chosen by Nolan, the owner, to go with each course. They take their beer brewing seriously and cans are available in retail outlets as well as at the brewery. They have aa fenced space for dogs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Friendly staff, sampled a beer which was really good. The Chive Cafe is inside here and is a farm to table restaurant. The bacon wrapped dates are really good!! Don’t spend the extra money to add bacon to cheese trio sandwich, you won’t taste the bacon. Meatball sandwich is delicious but there is lots of bread. The ratio meatball to bread is off. Great potential and they have some great activities to bring people in. Come give them a try

My sons turned us on to this place – and wow!! The bartender was able to really steer us in good directions, and the selections were really something to speak of. We didn’t have anything we didn’t like , and we stayed for a while checking out some a variety of offerings. Just don’t fail to check this place out. Indoor/outdoor & pet friendly.

Stopped in on a whim to let traffic die down a bit. So glad we did. Every single beer we tried, and we tried almost all of them, was amazing. Ended up getting a bunch to take home. Nigel was great at suggesting beers and made us feel so welcome. We didn’t eat there but all the food going by looked great. Can’t wait to go back.

Transparent is by far my favorite place to get a beer. My favorite is the Oui Bit Fancy French saison, which is stronger than it sounds and still delicious. The bartenders are great, especially Nigel. He goes to a lot of effort to make everyone feel comfortable, which segues into my next point. This place is comfortable, relaxed, and frequented by a lot of very pleasant people. I always feel welcome to join a conversation, pet a dog (ASK FIRST.), or just quietly relax and try out whatever new creations are on the board. As someone with major anxiety, that’s huge. Chive Cafe used to be here, and they were delicious. Unfortunately I haven’t taken the chance to try out the new “bar style” food, but it looks very tasty, and they try to use as many local ingredients as possible. They’ve got lots of fun events and a few in house board games. Overall, this is genuinely the only bar I enjoy being in. Well done, yall! UPDATE: The food is incredible and a little bit experimental! I never thought I’d want mango salsa on top of delicious braised pork, but I can’t tell you how much I think about it now. And the beer, the beer just gets better. My new favorite is the Merry Monk. I have met Nicole since my last review, and she’s just as excellent and pleasant as Nigel, and they make one heck of a team behind the bar. Thanks again for the great food and amazing beer!

Stopped in two weeks ago to try out Transparent Brewery as it was recommended to me. I didn’t get to try all the beers on tap. I had a few and they were good. I ended up taking the ones I didn’t get to try home with me. The reason for the 4 star is I wanted to try more, bit they don’t offer flights, so I had to be selective at the time to try. I didn’t get to eat any of their food, but it looked like they had a good selection.

Attended the Food and Beer Pairing dinner. Atmosphere was great from the moment we walked in. Food was outstanding and the beer pairings were just right. Great night was had by all!
