Great food!! Brisket was super tender and flavorful. The pulled pork sandwich was me playing it safe with an overwhelmingly delightful outcome. I was so amazing I kicked myself for not going in on some ribs. Fries were crispy and flavorful and I would go just for them But regardless of all the cuisines outstanding elements, the owner was super attentive and supremely courteous! Any particular requests I had he took care expertly and expediently! Location had both indoor and outdoor seats that was covered and not cramped. I have every intention of going back there. You should too!

Friendly service. Asked for a full rack of ribs. They served them cut and noticed that I preferred the rack of ribs uncut. They nicely wrapped a whole rack of ribs and helped me take it to my car. Now, that’s how you keep a customer happy. That’s service. The ribs are nicely seasoned, tender, and fall off the bone.

My biggest complaint is that the “pulled chicken” is not pulled at all. It tasted alright but what I got was not what I ordered. They should really just re-name the dish to barbecue chicken.
Unfortunately I used the bathroom after eating here, I would have walked out after seeing how poorly kept the bathroom was. The fixtures were clean but there were cobwebs in the corners, disgusting walls and baseboards and a lot of spots in disrepair or messily spray foamed.

Pulled up to the restaurant and had planned on dining in, but parking was pitiful, so I ordered online and waited in the car to go in. I ordered a half rack of ribs with Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes, and a half and half. I took the meal home and when I opened the box, I was thrown off by the smell. Just a very odd scent to the ribs… maybe because they are smoked. It didn’t smell like the ribs were bad… but just odd. The meat did fall off the bones, so they were tender. They tasted just ok and not something that I would consider eating without BBQ sauce (of which they only gave me one little cup). The sauce tasted like SBR’s, which I’m not mad about since that is a good sauce. The Mac and Cheese was really good… creamy, cheesy, and the pasta shells were nicely cooked. The sweet potatoes were mushy… almost like canned yams that were mashed up and seasoned. Nothing to write home about. Lastly, the half and half was disappointing. I just assumed it was going to be a homemade blend, but it was a regular bottle of Lipton. I did want to try their bread pudding, but they said they were sold out. My meal came to $35, which is pricey for a half rack, but had it been an enjoyable meal, I wouldn’t care. I was hopeful that this was going to be my go to rib spot based on a review I read given by the STAMP guy, but sadly, this is not it.

Visiting my niece and she ordered through doordash she ordered in the past and said the ribs were good but this time the chicken was raw and the sight alone made me nauseous. Please becareful I would not want anyone getting sick

I had the privilege of dining here during their second week of business. Finally, Maps has them. The location is great. We sat outside, and people watched while we ate. I ordered the spare ribs, cabbage, mac, and cheese with fried catfish. My guest had the smoked chicken with yams and greens. The food was delicious. The dessert menu is a clear winner as well. I recommend trying it out. You can not miss here.

ORDER: #1. Catfish Dinner w 2 sides – mac & yams AND extra side of broccoli.
AND #2. Brisket Dinner w 2 sides – mac & cabbage AND extra side of yams.
-My boo will ALWAYS order catfish whenever its on the menu. He rated the catfish as his TOP 2!
-The ❤️ they put into that broccoli was AMAZING 10/10. BOMB!
-Cabbage was good.
-The mac & cheese was shells & homemade…it was OK.
-My brisket…9/10. No complaints. Done properly. The cook and flavor was ! Exactly was I was craving!
The yams…Since this was our FIRST time here, IDK if it was an accident OR intentional.??!! ONE of the seasonings in the yams was WAYYYYY TOO overpowering. I can’t tell if it was cloves, nutmeg, allspice, ETC. But WHATEVER it was, it COMPLETELY took over the dish.
OVERALL… this place is OFFICIAL. We spent $72 between 2 ppl. And even though the food was SMACKING, we were able to eat TWICE off our platters. I can’t wait to heat up my leftovers TONIGHT! The portion size was good for the price! Super satisfied.
Food was a pickup to go but the gentleman I encountered at the counter was NICE & ACCOMMODATING!
We will be back!

This place is like down home cooking from the south. I originally wanted to go next door to the tavern but when we arrived my nose said to me there is delicious food being cooked by people that are decendants from the diaspora. I smelled the spices in the air and our decision was made and we were not disappointed. This food was delicious, excellent, exceptional and fresh. The crunch on the chicken will make you wanna do a happy dance. We had smoked chicken thighs with smoked baked beans, broccoli and yams.
This food was so go we order a second round to go!
