Wonderful small restaurant with nice patio for warmer months. Food and service was phenomenal. Dined with my wife . Had local beer from Berkshire Brewing. Appetizer was Ceasar salad and bacon wrapped scallops. Main course was shrimp scampi over lingini. Dessert were excellent as well. Counting down days till eating here again.

Attentive service, a lot of of gluten free offerings. My wife and I both had the fried gf scallops. For entrees my wife had the fish and chips, and I had the beets and goat cheese salad. Both entrees were very tasty and ample sized. Th outside patio dining had suble lighting and fire pits. Everything was entirely enjoyable.

With a hint of elegance inside and shaded patio dining beneath umbrellas outdoors, the Trail House offers a casual atmosphere of dining with style and great food and beverages. We stopped by for lunch and were pleased with a tender cod fish sandwich and a fresh chicken salad sandwich in a croissant with fries.

Let’s start with.. made 6 pm reservations our table was occupied until 645 was offered instead to sit at a 2 person table for a family of 3 which was nice but doesn’t work. Was brought a large pitcher of water no cups to drink it, finally asked for cups..got one cup for 3 of us (don’t mind sharing but my own cup would be nice) so finally asked if we could have at least one more cup, next, order dinner to find out the meal I ordered is no longer available, ok fine order something different..then, 2 of 3 meals brought out as I waited for mine to come nearly 8 minutes later as everyone else is half way through their meal. One of the meals was steak ordered medium cook, come out nearly “mooing”still at this point didn’t dare to ask to please cook it some more. On a positive note…the soup was good!

An experience it was!

Cute little restaurant in an area with so little to choose from. Service is timely and inside is nice and quiet- good for any group size. Menu is pretty basic American food. Quality of the food preparation is definitely mediocre- it’s pretty bland and lacks anything interesting. I guess I’d recommend just because there’s unfortunately pretty much nothing that’s outstanding in the area.

My group of eight had dinner here yesterday and it was great. Everyone enjoyed the apps and dinners and the GF dishes were delicious.

The staff was very accommodating and turned a potentially negative experience into a positive one.

The food, including the appetizer came out fast. The fish and chips was great and perfectly cooked. The salmon, on the other hand, initially came out undercooked. The server was apologetic and took it off the bill, which was a very nice gesture.

They have a cute outdoor patio with fire pits, which is also dog friendly (huge plus)! Look forward to being back!

This place was MAGIC!!! Philip, Amy and Tiana made us feel like regulars when we dropped in on a busy Tuesday night after checking in at Tourists across the street. They were packed, but after a 2 min wait next to their warm fire pits, we snagged two bar seats thanks to Philip and had an amazing meal. The steak frites were incredible (the peppercorn sauce was amazing) and my wife had the salmon. Both were cooked perfectly and the drinks Tiana made to pair were perfect. We had the best first night in town all thanks to Trail house and their amazing team! Will be back before we leave for sure!!!

Our meals consisted of stuffed portobello mushrooms chicken piccata beet salad topped with roasted salmon accompanied with glasses of rose and Chianti. Reservations were 7p. We were seated promptly. The dining room was baffled to mitigate carrying sounds (good move) ample space between tables and excellent table service. Our food arrived at a well measured pace. Our food was well prepared and the portions were generous. Prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this spot!!

This restaurant was great! Farm to table food was fresh, and the dishes were creatively made. The waiters were very attentive, and were able to give good recommendations from the menu. I would visit again if I’m ever in the area!
